Unofficial Indiana Beach site chronicles the park's history

Indiana Beach used to be called Ideal Beach. I have traced all of the parks major changes since it originally opened in 1926 and have outlined them in the history section of my IB site. I have also added a section of IB interesting facts.

One more thing...does anyone else think that Indiana Beach's history SORT OF resembles Cedar Point's history in a way? Just curious...I got that feeling when I read it.

Yes, I think there are some similarities in the 2 timelines between IB and CE in the early years. -------------

Your Guide to Indiana beach

IB has had many great additions over the last few years. Big Flush, Double Shot, Hurricane, Cornball, many new water slides, Chaos, renovation to Den of Lost Theives and Frankenstein's Castle, and Skycoaster were all done fairly recently. Those are thier best rides and I am sure that they would love to continue to add coasters and other great rides, but I often worry about the space restriction.
