Universal's HHN, any tips and suggestions?

As part of my month long b-day celebration im taking myself to HHN. I havent seen a topic like this yet so I would like to know from those who have been and who know something about it what to expect and what I should do to make my experience a good one. Im goingfrom wed (20oct04) until fri (22oct04). Im planning on going to HHN that thursday night. So if you have some pointers or suggestions please feel free to help me out!

Oh yeah I did purchase an express pass because I did hear that the lines for the haunts tend to get a little long. Also Im gonna be alone so if anyone is going to be there and wanna hang out im up for it!!

If your going on a Thursday night and have the express passes, you should be in pretty good shape. Are you going to the parks at all during the day as well? If you are are, just stay in the park at closing (the past two years they kept you in the Oak while they transitioned the park). Just ask someone at customer service where you can go this year. They let you out as soon as the event starts and you get a jump start on everyone coming in through the Port of Evil. I'd hang with ya but we're going to be there right after you, doing HHN on the 24th.

Where are you staying?

howard johnson plasa universal studios...that was the closest I could find and I didnt feel like shelling out like, 200 a night for the onsite hotels.

And I do plan on going to the parks in the day time so I can check out ROTM!!
