Universal Studios Japan executive makes quick turn around of park

Within two years of taking charge of USJ Co., the operator of the Universal Studios Japan theme park in Osaka, 61-year-old American Glenn Gumpel, succeeded in making it a profitable company. Financial restructuring, management culture changes and a focus on the brands that Japanese care most about have changed the direction of the park.
