Universal Studios cancels Halloween Horror Nights for Hollywood and Florida

Universal Orlando has canceled Halloween Horror Nights for this year. The popular after-hours scare fest, held for nearly three decades at Universal Studios theme park, is the latest event to be scrubbed by the coronavirus pandemic. It has also been cancelled for the Hollywood park.

While I think this is a good decision and something I figured would ultimately happen, it still sucks for all those who have been working on the event. Now let's hope Christmas still happens at the parks.

Christmas is easier since a lot of it is just the decorations and atmosphere. The shows and parades may not happen or be modified, but I feel like it'll be easier to at least get the festive atmosphere.

I would imagine the parks will still put up some Fall/Halloween decorations and play Monster Mash over the in park music system this October even though they can't do the full HHN/Halloweekend/Haunt/Not So Scary experience.
