Universal Orlando teases Hulk reconstruction

From the blog:

You’ve been waiting since September for the return of one of the world’s most popular thrill rides. Now, if you know where to look, you can see The Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure starting to take shape. The first pieces of track went in just days ago and more will soon be visible around the park.

Now I kind of want to go to Disney and ask cast members where Dpavf Mountain is.

I know Hulk was getting rough but I still wonder why do a total rebuild while keeping what seems to be the same exact layout, however I recall someone stating that the deal with marvel/disney won't allow them to change a licensed attraction without a new agreement but upgrades like the one on Spiderman are allowed. I wonder if this hulk rebuild is really a requirement rather than a universal choice, does marvel/disney require a certain amount of money be spent on a attraction as part of the deal to represent the IP in a good way?

The ride had just mechanically reached its limit. They were apparently making welding repairs in the track almost nightly.

Why pay more money for a whole new coaster design instead of just remanufacturing one you already have? The forces are already engineered, they're likely installing new, better, proven systems on the existing layout, it makes perfect sense. And the ride is already still popular.
