Universal Orlando Question

How are crowds around this time of year at Universal Orlando. I was planning on going teh weekend of the 25th. Anybody has any speculation based on previous years?
It's been fairly dead recently. I haven't been in about a week, but it's been typical offseason crowds.

Hmmm, maybe I'll go Tuesday after work. I do miss Mummy already. :)

Between New Years' and Spring Break, there is ONE day to avoid....MLK, Jr. Day....other than that, crowds are sparse. Of course, they may also be QUICK to close one side of Mummy and MiB, so I wouldn't go *expecting* to power-ride...;)

On the plus side, there's NO way to reduce capacity on Shrek or *Jiminy Neutron*, and there ARE single-rider lines for Mummy and MiB...and don't for Woody Woodpecker...;)

edit: I don't even COUNT Saturdays...college hoops season, and besides, who likes crowds...;)

P.S. Joe won't love Orlando so much once I get his address...:) *** Edited 2/14/2005 3:34:47 PM UTC by rollergator***

I just got back from three days in Orlando and I must say that the crowds were a little larger than I enticipated. I figured that coming the weekend before MLK Jr. weekend we would be O.K. Unfortunately, I didn't factor in that we would be there the weekend between the Super Bowl ending in Jacksonville and Speed Week begining in Daytona. Disney MGM on Friday and Animal Kingdom on Sunday were more crowded than I figured but between their Express Pass system and good capacity, we still got several rides on our favorites. Saturday we did Universal and while IOA was decent in the morning, USF was terrible in the afternoon as everyone was there for the Mardi Gras event that evening. Universal did a good job with it but man was it crowded (or at least what I'm used to on my visits there). I don't know of anything going on at the end of February so you might find light crowds.
I was just there a few weeks ago....we did all of USF and IOA from friday afternoon to Sat. afternoon....no more than 5 to 10 min. waits max......that was my first trip there.....Jan. rules at those parks for lack of crowds.....I was very happy to say the least....excellent parks for sure !!! *** Edited 2/15/2005 12:39:47 AM UTC by bozz***
Do you also think that I would be able to do both Universal Studios and IOA in one day? Considering it "mite" be a dead time of year, crowd-wise.

You probably could... but I wouldn't. Take your time and enjoy both parks. A day and a half at IOA to just take it all in is nice.

It's perfectly possible to "do" both parks in a day.

It's completely impossible to "experience" both parks in a day.
