Universal Orlando profit up, but attendance down

Universal Orlando on Wednesday reported a 6 percent increase in paid theme park admissions for the second quarter ended July 2, compared with the same period last year. Second-quarter profit for Universal Orlando rose 57 percent, while operating revenue was up 9 percent. In all, 3.13 million paying guests visited the company's Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure during the quarter, up from 2.94 million in the second quarter of 2005.

Call me stupid, but how does an attendance increase of 190,000 people constitute "attendance down" ?

Got me confused, that one....

If you'd read past the first few paragraphs you'd see that for the year they're down 4%.
