Universal Orlando lays off 100, Disney delays hotel construction

Universal Studios Orlando announced yesterday it was laying off 100 full-time employees. Disney also said they were stopping construction on the new Pop Century resort, the latest "value" hotel in the Disney complex. Both cite below-normal attendance as the reason for the reductions.

I hope that this doesn't affect service or attractions being open. I'm planning a trip in January and don't want to encounter closed attractions due to cutbacks.
