Fairness is far from the only factor and is nowhere near the list of important factors so the whole argument is theoretical to start with. The thing is, 'fairness' is one of the first things complainers spout off when talking virtual queues.
I often feel screwed when I try for a FastPass and find them all gone. I never feel screwed when I decide to skip the Q-bot and have to stand in line. :)
In the future, rides will have multiple entrances for each different virtual-queue payment system....then when that fails, we'll return to pay-per-ride options, cause everything old IS new again... :)
Good point...I've never felt screwed either now that you bring it up! I'm always mad when I try to get on Test Track later in the evening when the Fastpasses are gone (single rider line anybody?)! I never really looked at it that way!
There is something to be said about having "the ability" to go and buy the "Q-bot" versus not having a chance at all to get a Fastpass at 4:30 pm...Your argument makes a lot of sense...until everybody catches on to "the game" and starts paying for the upgrade...at which point we may need a 3rd line/entrance for Mega Q-bot---or they could just have individual ride tickets! :-)
