Universal Orlando buys 101 more acres

niversal is planning large warehouses and office buildings on its new, sprawling property east of the Lockheed Martin plant on Sand Lake Road. The theme park giant seeks Orange County approval for over 530,000 square feet of warehouse space and 94,000 square feet of office space. Plans indicate construction will happen in multiple phases.

Now the employee parking deck that they built make more sense .

If they are moving most of the back of house functions. Down the road.

They will have room for 4th gate backstage (since they claim Volcano Bay as 3rd gate)

and room for 5th and 6th gate down the road .

Comcast is aware of cord cutters going to internet for what used to be cable channels

and are pushing Theme parks to replace Cable TV revenues.

All I have read is that they were seeking Theme park parity with Disney

This announcement means they are seeking to exceed Disney Theme parks IMHO
