Unheard Schwarzkopf Designs

In America, we have very few Schwarzkopf coasters. While looking at RCDB, I found this awesome one in Europe, check it out!

While that looks like fun, this one looks insane:

Anton is the man! By the way, that ECC article on him is very nice.

PT300, I believe that coaster was featured in the 1995 video "World's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills In 3-D."  It truly looks like it would be a lot of fun to ride.  (Search for ASIN# 6305078912 in Amazon.com for info on the video.)  Too bad the coaster's all the way over in Germany...
Does anyone have pictures of his infamous figure-8 loop? It was supposed to be a loop on top of another loop. I've searched up and down the net with no luck.

Schwarzkopf was truly ahead of his time. Too bad the only one I've ridden is Wildcat at CP. One of these days, I'm going on a coaster of Europe (hopefully!)

That concept never made it into production, so the only pics are of drawings.  It was very interesting.  I think it was in the special Schwarzkopf issue of First Drop.

That looks alot like Texas Tornado at SFAW.  Those near circular loops are brutal looking :o)    I bet they pull massive G's.

I rode "X" and never went upside down.

I know this has nothing to do with the coaster, but in that picture of Jetline, the Wave Swinger there looks very nicely positioned right along the sea (or ocean... not sure where Grona Lund is, sorry!).  The coaster looks pretty intense also!
Here's a photo of the Schwartzkopf Figure-8.

Yeah that's JetLine in Gröna Lund, my homepark. It's a fun coaster that has been a little changed in 1999 i think. The lifthill has raised to 100ft, the drop is a little bit steeper and it's diving into a tunnel. My favorite element is the steep drop in this pic > http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1062.htm?Picture=4

I nice coaster with some helix and drops. But i think Lisebergbanan, another Anton's masterpiece, is better. It has some powerfull helix and some airtime spots. It is using the terrain perfectly. Here's a nice pic... http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/pictures/ES/ESlisebergbanan02.JPG

Nice that you found some swedish coasters :) I'm hoping for a Intamin woodie that has been rumored for awhile.

RIP Anton

I think one of the greatest parts of Anton's multiloopers is the fact that almost all of them have many block allowing the capacity to be quite high. If you look at the middle picture of JetLine in MF04's original post, you can see one train moving through the second block brake while the other crests the hill. I guess this isn't really an issue in the US though, since only a few parks load the trains quickly enough to take advantage of this.

Wasn't this coaster in Japan originally? Bavarian Mountain Express in Propialand??? Mountain theming? If not, they have the same layout.

Yeeee Haaawwww!
P>anfrederick, the coaster you're thinking of, FONT face=Verdana size=2>Bavarian Mountain Express, was built one year before Jetline they are almost clones but Jetline doesn't have that bunny hop after the turnaround. Also, BMRX as it's called now days, is pretty well themed, as you can see http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/pictures/ES/ESbmr-Kobe01.JPG and http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/pictures/ES/ESbmrx-Kobe00.JPG Looks awesome /P>

Yah..that's a georgeous ride. I especially like the track used for both these rides as well as Lisebergbanan(sp?). I think this track was used in later Schwarzkopf designs.

Thanks!

HEY!  That Bavarian Mountain Express looks like an awesome coaster!  Looks to have some god airtime, and it also has a lot of tunnels!  Cool.  AND, there is a Tampico Tumbler in that park!  A rare find!
