I thought about it recently, when all that panic appeared on the thought of Giovanolas tiltcoaster.
I rode the Ultratwister in Tokyo eight years ago and thought it was brilliant (back then it was quite spectacular).
I was especially impressed by the tilting platform which enabled the car to decent on its backward journey. Since my ride on that coaster dates back to a long time i dont quite remember the trick that holds the car in its place, but i am pretty sure, that the mechancs are very similar to the Giovanola design. To those people who remember the Texas version better, what tdo you think?
