Ultimate coaster vacations....

Well, here's the itinerary (now final)...for the week of SRM.

Fly ionto Louisville, 5/30, stop by SFKK for the wood, then off to SRM. Stay at Lake Rudolph, attend Scott Heck's wedding on Legend, thank you very much...it loses something without the delivery...;~). Then spend a couple days relaxing and enjoying the hospitality of RavenMaven and her cohorts at HW. Off to IB for our first visit (sad that Lost Coaster isn't open by then). Then to SFGAm for two days at another "new to us" park. Travel to Muskegon and MIA (first trip on Timbers, where's Kara when we need her) - and some time in the woods....Off to CP for CoasterMania, then down to Cincy for the National Rowing Championships. (Our friend Paul coaches the local entry, Gainesville Area Rowing, GAR). After Day 2 in the Cincy area, attending CBCon, back to Louisville for the flight out....Wow!

New parks, new coasters, new states....first time in IL or MI....anybody else notice how much travel we get to do...;)....just riding coasters, they all say.....

then, drop Jill off in Gainesville, and re-pack my stuff for SoCal.....

What does Jill think about that? ;)

she'll be so "parked out" by the time we get back from CBCon, I think it was *wise* of her to skip on CCXXV......we've got friends in the LA area, anyway, so it's all good.....

but how could I possibly miss out on the 25th anniversary celebration, esp. considering X, Xcelerator, and more Ghost-rides....;)

Almost makes the CPlaya 100 (or CBaby 50) look tame.

for those who haven't looked at the calendar yet, here goes:

6/6

A road trip with lots of stops

Big Chief's (WI Dells, WI) for their 3 CCIs

Riverview Park (WI Dells, WI) - Galaxi coaster
Little A-Merrick-A (Marshall, WI) - Herschell Mad Mouse and Chance Matterhorn
Santa's Village (Dundee, IL) - Top Fun looper and Dragon (my first Zamperla kiddie)

before making my way to Indiana Beach to end the day.

6/7

CP CoasterMania. If I'm up to it (depending how long the drive is from Monticello) I might sneak over to SFWOA

6/8

SFWOA - I'll need to score 7 of the 10 coasters to be successful. Qbot here we come

6/9

PKI - Oooooh I'd better express mail my money. There are still five coasters @ PKI I have never boarded. Other than taking those on, look for me to take this day at my leisure, including some quality time in some water.

6/10

SFKK for whichever coasters get me up to #99, then

HW - to crown Legend #100 and Raven the 100th original coaster (as two will be clones)

6/11

I don't know. I could do SFGAM if I go directly home, or SFStL and WOF if I linger around.

Sounds like a great trip! You will love SFGAm and Timbers! I don't have a true 'coaster trip' coming until August when I hit CP, SFWOA, Kennywood, Knoebels, Hershey, Dorney, and SFGAd on my honeymoon. The last 5 parks will be new to us so that makes it extra special :)
Here goes my August trip: Friday-Camden Park, Sat-SFKK,Sun-HW, Mon-SDC, Tue-WoF, Wed-SFSL, Thu-PKI, Fri-CP, Sat-SFWoA, Sunday-Lakemont Park.

...I guess when you live in FL, you gotta make the most of any treks outside of "Beemer Country"....

....thanks everyone, I'll be *out* for awhile so everybody's gotta do their part to bring a little extra chaos into the 'buzz...it's called teamwork, picking up the slack as they say...;).

Between the NBA (Nets AND Kings?...today, I am the luckiest man on the face of the Earth - Friday is another day), and the upcoming coastering - I *think* I can stay C'buzz free (and computer-free, GASP) for the duration "without a prescription"....

bill, signing off 'til further notice, and hoping to see MANY of you in the near future....:)

....and still holding out hope that we can get Jeff Hammersly on stage.....c'mon Paula, you know he secretly *wants* to get the credit he SOOOOOO deserves.......you get him on-stage, I will owe you......

Man, you guys are able to get to LOTS of parks. I am only visiting three this year (planned). Great America four times, IB in two weeks, and probably Adventureland on a weekend or something in late July. 2003 is looking like my year though....Visiting a friend in Cal (almost definate) over spring break...SFMM and a couple of other parks here I come :-D. Then a planned large family vacation next summer (involving some parks, just dont know exactly which ones yet).

Got three weeklong trips and two daylong trips planned for 2002, nothing major though.

June: 23rd, 24th, 25th at CP - 26th at SFWOA - 27th at my mom's house - 28th at Kennywood

July: 16th at Hersheypark - 17th at Dutch Wonderland

August: 5th at SFNE - 6th at Lake Compounce - 7th at Coney Island parks and 4 piers along the NJ shore - 8th at Morey's Piers - 9th at SFGAdv

August: date undecided at Knoebels

September: 21st at SFOG - 23rd, 24th at Universal - 25th, 26th at Undecided Orlando parks

Then there's the Dorney Park passes (you haven't lived until you reside a few minutes from a major amusement park, my wife actually stops for Talon rides on the way home from work) and also all the little "parks" my daughter loves to visit.

We decided to save Vegas/SoCal for early 2003 :)

Nothing compared to some of you diehards, but I'm happy with it.

I didn't do too bad this year. Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea, Fujikyu Highland, Nagashima Spaland, Lotte World (in Seoul, S. Korea) and Seoulland (also in Seoul, S. Korea).

I plan to head up to Seattle to hit the Puyallap Fair and Playland in Vancouver. Don't know if I'll have time to hit Silverwood or not. Seems a bit unlikely due to cost and time factors (we're up there to visit my wifes family as well)
