UFO-themed park being considered for Roswell

Roswell businesses here have been cashing in on the UFO craze for years — paintings and replicas of UFOs and space aliens adorn downtown buildings, and even the McDonald's and Wal-Mart are UFO- and space-themed. Now city officials want to take it to another level with a UFO-themed amusement park, complete with an indoor roller coaster that would take passengers on a simulated alien abduction.

All right, I'll be the first to ask.. Does the abduction include a "probe"
Hopefully the park gets built. It will probably be the only reason I'll fly to New Mexico.
Does this park seem like it will be odd, like people wearing aluminum foil on their heads weird. Still its another park.
^You mean like those pics I see of people at PPPP?
There was an interview done well over a year ago where the guy who had the concept was on pushing the idea. His point during the interview was talking not only about the parks concept, but to try and get any interested parties to think about financially backing the project.

Looks like things may be picking up a bit for him. It sounded interesting, and what better location could you ask for as a backround theme. If it does become reality I would hope it would be something along the lines of Hard Rock Park, and not some low quality, permanent carnival.

I find it hard to believe the city received enough tourism to support the park. It's more than 100 miles from the nearst two interstates.
