Two Different colors on AIR...

I couldn't find where this had been discussed before, so forgive me if it has, but in the time I've spent on here, I've never seen it. The question is, why is the lift on AIR Black while the rest of the track is Teal Grean? Looks odd to me.
So it blends in with the trees around it. They have a very strict "nothing above tree level" rules, therefore, they'll do anything do keep the peace.
In rumor I have heard, even though I have never been out of the US. A near by neibohrhood was complaning because of a coaster being to loud. Wow that seems crazy
And what does that have to do with its color(s)?
I don't remember it being black, and I couldn't find any pictures of the lift hill, but it probably was either black or dark green. Does anyone have a picture?

I remember they painted the upper portions of their corkscrew dark green to blend in with the trees. Look at this photo. You can see that most of the corkscrew is yellow, except the portions that are above a certain height.

Anything to appease to the neighbours.

^Justcazisaidso, you shouldn't be getting on his case when you're the one that keeps starting useless topics asking stupid questions (does SFNO exist?).

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Yes, air is two different colors. Much of the color scheme was chosen to help the ride blend in with the surroundings. People in the surrounding area (it's a very historic area) get really uptight about anything seeming out of place. Hence the "nothing above the trees" rules and such.
I did do a google search for photos and clicked through at least a hundred, none of which showed the lift hill. It never occured to me to look for videos on the park's own website.

First off, I wasn't looking for proof of the color change, I knew it was there. I was asking why, and I didn't see anything on their site that says why. I figured it had to do with the tree thing, but this is a discussion forum, and I'm pretty sure that it hasn't been discussed before. Its not wise to come here and start talking to people that have been here longer than your 2 or 3 days like your god, that dosen't fly. Go troll somewhere else, from what I've seen, no one respecsts you here much anyhow.

Thanks to everyone else!

The locals don't know how lucky they are! I'd kill for a park like Alton in my neighborhood.

Well not "kill" but you all know.
