Are there any? I was just wondering because in a roller coaster book it said "B&M used this unusual 4 abreast seating which would show up on nearly everone of them." This book was rather outdated or the was taking in some sort of past tense.
When they said unusual, they may have meant unusual to the coaster industry, since B&M were the first to use 4 across seating.
From what I know, there are no 2 abreast B&M, but I've been wrong before...

Yeah, thanks Intamin2k, that's what I meant.
It's probably because some B&Ms are 8-across (Dive Machines).

2-across B&M? What about Psyclone?
--Dave Althoff, Jr.
Actually, the first 4-across seating was Intamin's Space Diver model, dubbed Z-Force at SFoG, later named Flashback when it traveled to SFMM. It WAS designed by B&M, but that was when they worked fopr Intamin...or so I understand...

Wrong B&M does have 2 accross seating. Just on one coaster Psyclone at SFMM, Psyclones trains are B&M the only wooden coaster trains B&M has produced, and the only 2 abreast cars.
yea but that is trains. I think he means coasters with origional b&M designs
It's not really a mystery! B&M have used 4-across on most of their rides, the two with 8-across being the exception. Did the book say actually anything about 2-across?

I thought Morgan made the Psyclone trains, was this before?

Z-Force was originally at SFGAm in 1986 before SFOG, which I believe was the first 4-across coaster. This was before B&M existed.

Morgan made the Collosus trains on the Non backwards side. They are very Comfortable.

Well B&M are the people who really brought 4 wide seating into the broad market and I personally love 4 ide sewating it is a inovation that should have seen incresed usgae long ago!

Well as long as we're on the topic of Psyclone trains, are they comfortable?

They have a good backrest :) If it had different trains, the ride may be a lot rougher, but then who knows.

All I know is that I pulled my back muscle on Psyclone so I didn't get to enjoy the trains. But from what I remember they were fairly comfortable almost like the Morgan trains.

B&M (or Boring and Meaningless, as I call them) have also done wooden trains for a coaster at Blackpool Pleasure beach, or from what at least I had heard.
Its easy to get a Giovanola and B&M invert confused.... unless you see the trains in which Gio use 2 abreast seating
Another reason why B&M is cool. 4-across seats helps ride capacity and when I go to a park with my 2 friends 1 of the 3 of us don't have to ride alone.

Millennium Force....it has its ups and downs.
B&M designed all and any four abreast coasters, with the exception of Intamin/Giovanola's Eurostar Inverted. Psyclone is the only wooden graced by B&M. B&M worked for Intamin originally, but broke off in the late 80's then debuted Iron Wolf in 1990. B&M created four across and the box-track, which they took with them after they broke off from Intamin.

Hey duke, where'd you learn that from? I want proof. Who said B&M designed the box track? Who said B&M designed Batman: The Escape? Who said B&M designed Z-Force/Flashback? Who said B&M designed Shockwave? Who said B&M designed La Cobra?
