Tweety allegedly loses it at Six Flags America

A 12-year-old Churchton girl said the person portraying Tweety Bird at Six Flags America in Largo struck her as she and friends were having their photo taken with the character during a school trip on May 10. As Southern Middle schoolers were crowding together to set up the picture, a student standing behind Tweety patted the bird on the head, witnesses said. They said Tweety then lashed out, hitting sixth-grader Karla Davis-Dunn in the side.

If you enjoy this story, check out Mouse Tails: A Behind the Ears Look at Disneyland. Most of you have probably heard of it, but it has an entire chapter devoted to the costumed characters. There are some wild stories! It even includes the ways that the characters fought back to the rowdy guests (stepping on feet, hugging them tightly, turning around and making their tailes hit them.) It is a very amusing book and I cannot recommend it enough!

I'd just like to add that I've been to SFA many times. I am only about 6' 1" in shoes and everytime I've seen the "Tweety" character, I have towered over it. In fact, I believe it is the *only* one that is under 6' tall. Seven feet my arse!
