The Hotel Conneaut at Conneaut Lake Park is 108 years old. Said to play host to numerous spirts which roam its halls to this day when they said to have passed away in a fire at the hotel in April 1947. I myself have seen and heard numerous things I can't explain. It looks like something worth checking out and maybe some of you will too!
December 22nd at 10:30pm on A&E's Paranormal State

I'm neither a total skeptic nor a total believer...but I saw and felt something around that hotel. I'll cwertainly remember the "image" in the upstairs window for a long, long time.
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
Cool they are covering the hotel. Paranormal State is a fake part scripted part ablibled show. Its produced and directed by the guy that produces that awesome show The Hills.
Thanks,
DMC
Mamoosh, I completely agree. Even Ghost Adventures would be great, too bad the head guy is a total douche. Both the Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures get really good evidence. Paranormal State is OK at best.
Too bad Extreme Paranormal was only a two night event. Now that was some good stuff.
I will definitely be recording this episode though.

Seeking thrills since 1997.
Dvr....set.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I completely agree about Zak Bagans (host of Ghost Adventures). Every time I watch that show I just wish he'd shut his f'in mouth (and take off his shirt, lol).
I don't watch those silly ghost shows anymore, Moosh, but you made me google Zak Bagans anyways. ;)
The last time I watched those ghost shows, I realized that I was being duped by people pretending to hear things, or really hearing things that were easily explainable, but conveniently unexplained. Before a commercial, they'd show something really scary that was coming up in the show, and when it eventually happened, it was nothing special or remarkable.
I believe in ghosts and that stuff. I even have my own ghost encounters. But I have found these shows to try to hard to make it appear that they exist. What if the film crew went to a location and didn't find any scary ghosts to film? They would be SOL, so instead they make them up, at least sometimes.

Can't wait to watch this tonight! I hope it'll be interesting.
LK, you're right on with that assessment. I remember watching one of those shows a while back. I don't remember the name, but it was the two guys and the gal.
Anyway, they're out filming in some woods, and suddenly the gal starts pointing and saying something to the effect of "over there. I see, it's like a mist, and there's some kind of strange lights." And the entire time, the camera is focused on her with this frightened look on her face. By the time the camera pans over to where she's pointing. "Oh, it disappeared, but there was definitely something there."
I'm thinking, Oh brother, well that was three minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Yep, that pretty much sums up last night's PS show. A whole lot of 'did you see/hear that?!?"
Also, they investigated the alleged deaths that they claim happened at the hotel and nobody died there. Their 'explanation' for the ghosts is that they are the manifestation of the energies of the people who believe the ghost stories. Uh yeah....riiiiiight.

Well, if you believe in something hard enough, you're probably going to "see" it. :)

I was actually kind of disapointed with the episode. They left alot of the main spirts out including the dancing couple and John who is the main one I have experiences with.
The Doors being open I have never heard of that happening before but the voice in the ear and can belive that because it has happened to me before one time something said "I Hate You".
As for the Chef getting stabbed and thrown into the dumpster in the back im not to sure on that story either because no body is 100% on how he became apart of haunting the hotel. But he has thrown a knife at me before last sept when I was cleaning up for Ghost Lake which had a haunt running through the kitchen. It wasn't a hard thrown to do damage but one was tossed toward me and landed a few inches behind me. My co worker saw it come from a room and we checked it and found no one.
The dragging that was heard I have experienced that too. Halloween night 2006 me and my friend were let into the hotel to keep warm before we had to work the haunted train. We were locked in with only a few people cleaning in the dining room below us. We go into the TV lounge and I make a joking comment "wouldn't it be cool if John appeared" and when I said that we heard stuff moving around in the room above and we checked it out and when we get right to the door it stops. We search the room top to bottom and find no one and everything is where is should be. It also happened again a few weeks ago when I was helping with another investigation in the hotel.
I also have a picture of a man standing at the end of the hall and a little boy looking in a window.

I was shocked, but pleasantly surprised, that they pulled out the thought-form explanation. That's very unlike that team. Normally they seem to ascribe some evil motivation to whatever they encounter, even if it's a human spirit and not a demon. If I wanted to watch a Christian show, I would. Sometimes I'm surprised that the one pagan on their team puts up with them, or vice-versa.
