I hope this doesn't mean it will be closed as well, because it's starting to sound like nothing in that park will exist next year.

I havent gotten to ride that thing since it first came out, but I remember it being cool. The Alien alone was pretty kickass. I hope this will really breathe a little life into it, and as you said, that the ride won't be closed.

I think it's pretty hopelessly dated right now. The montage at the end is the best part, and that's not saying much.

I agree that it's a pretty terrible ride. I'll wait and see what changes are made before I consider riding it again. I would say that it's only redeeming quality is that it's in an air conditioned building but most of the attractions at Hollywood Studios are.
Aaand having watched a video of the ride, I can honestly say that sucked. I loved it when I was a kid, but now the ride seems so STATIC. Especially now that there are rides like Harry Potter that are so incredibly immersive. I hope they can do something good for the ride though, as I like the idea and think it is worth a second chance.

I can appreciate the ride, but I had terrible tour guides, and from the videos I've seen, that must be where they send all the terrible actors.
I think people looking for any major upgrades inside the ride are going to be disappointed. Sounds like this is mostly related to pre-show and the editing of the finale scene. Hopefully they will at least install new digital projectors throughout the ride.
