Turbulence @ Hershey

Opinion question for you all. Looking at the design of both the cars, track, and overall ride...would it be possible for the cars to flip upside down during the ride? I know the website says there will be a lot of rocking going on, naturally, but would it be possible to shift your weight around during the ride enough to do a 360 in the car? Or do you think it might do that already?

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

I was under the impression that the cars were in a "fixed position" and that you would only be flipping due to the track and not spinning of the cars. Is this false?

I took it as the cars rock freely.

No idea if a 360 would be possible, but that's a cool thought. :)

Two things make me think that there is no 360 involved.

- On Interactive Rides' website, it states that the cars "rock freely", but nothing was mentioned about "inverting"

- They look to be designed with only Lap Bar (T-bar) style restraints, and not OTSR's. I highly doubt that anything designed like this that would invert would not have OTSR's.

Ok, that just raises the fear factor *a lot* for me. ;)

+Danny, actually thinking about riding the Skyscraper at Dorney though

I'm not saying the company was thinking it would invert...i'm just wondering if it's physically possible to somehow, with the right amount of luck/body weight/movement/wind conditions to flip the damn thing...

"This coaster is unique because it takes up a small footprint, yet offers multiple free fall drops as it winds it way down the coaster track. Another important feature of this ride is that the passengers always remain face up and do not go up-side-down at any point during the ride."

Pasted from Interactive Rides website. Bah humbug.

This thing looks like a more family friendly version of the screaming squirrel...
If I'm not mistaken, isn't Interactive Rides an off shot of S&S?

There may be some way they've stopped it from inverting, I'd imagine so, if they say it will not.

Thank ya much! That answers my question...but I'm still riding it when it opens at Hershey, should be a fun experience...sounds like a combination of Screaming Squirrel and wild mouse...like someone said "hey lets take a wild mouse, flip it on it's side, adjust the cars a bit, and it's a whole new concept!" Agree or no?

With the seats alongside the track, it has a little bit of "X" tossed in as well. I just hope I enjoy it more than that POS.

Now I better duck before I get hit with the stuff that's about to get thrown at me!
