TTD'S actual drop height

After riding TTD this fall and recalling the layout, the specs on it from cedarpoint.com don't seem right to me. They say that the drop is only 400 feet, with the actual height being 420 feet. It doesn't seem that where it levels off is 20 feet off the ground. Only about 8-10 feet high. Just wondering.
The track at the end of the launch and begining of the brake run is higher than you're recalling. I'd wager a guess to say that it might actually be higher than 20 feet off the ground.
Also if you will remember, the station isn't exactly at ground level also. Its probably at least 4 feet above the ground, maybe more. Id have to say the 420 ft height is from ground to very top. So that takes away a couple of feet there just for that.

Track Record: 51 Coasters... ...for a total of 155,137 feet of track
Ahh the never ending confusion over roller coaster statistics. Height is such a relative thing. Everybody has a different idea how to measure it but the fact is there is no 'one' stat that can define height. In my humble opinion I think there should be at least four separate statistics regarding height.

1) Drop: The height the largest continuous drop on the ride.
2) Vertical Drop: The height as measured from the highest point to the lowest point on the track.
3) Lift Height: The height from the bottom of the lift hill to the top.
4) Standing Height: The height from the lowest point on the ground to the highest point on the track.

TTD would have roughly the following stats:

Drop: 400 feet
Vertical Drop: 416 feet
Lift Height: 10 feet (I'm guessing)
Standing Hieght: 420 feet

Now everything is taken into consideration and you have much better idea of what you actually want to know. *** Edited 12/12/2003 11:15:58 PM UTC by Phyter***

So is length...:)

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
Do track lengths include the transfer track?

I think Track lengths are just the length of track in a complete circuit.
