My first thought after reading the title: Whoa! lay off the caffiene buddy.

My conclusion after reading the following posts: Whoa! lay off the caffiene buddy.

There are magnetic brakes all along the launch track.

They drop for launch, and then pop up when the train clears. It was in the May 8 Machine Design magazine, I'll post the article soon

Yeah its cool when the train goes by each let of magnets and the all pop up in a row as the train goes by.
Has anyone else noticed how much the launch track shakes back and forth right above the tunnel? I'm starting to wonder if that may cause loss in energy right at the end of the launch? Its just a thought on something that could be easily fixed by adding a little bit of angled supports to that area so it has a little bit more "umph" to get over the top.

I don't know if it was deleted but has anyone been on a train that rolledback and how does it feel?

This ride was built with a special anti-rollback system that will prevent it from reaching the station EVEN WHEN THE POWER IS OUT. For safety reasons, they have a set of magnetic breaks that come up as soon as the train is launched, so if it does roll back, even if it drops all 420 ft., it will still stop before hitting another train. The next train is not cleared to the launch area until the first one is safely over the hill.
The real question is why does everyone want to be on a roll back?

They already call that S:TE.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

I saw 2 rollbacks and a misfire when I went. The train ddn't even make it ou tof the brakes on the misfire.
