TTD Down this week?

I haven't seeing it running at all, from 6/28 through today 6/30. Any news?

Yes, it's sunny outside - try it.

Unfortunately its air-conditioned and occasionally boring at work.

Wish I could "try it".

What's with the attack?

it has not operated since sunday, i was there and i am tired of spending $500 a trip to try to ride a coaster that is such a piece of crap that they cant even keep it open for more than a week before it "breaks"(IMO they just want to save some $$$ by not launching it and still charging the same $43 for it.) it seems that CP is begining to drop lower than Six Flags. maby CedarFair should have fixed the coasters that they already have instead of buying a new park that all their going to do is screw up more than it already is.

maby cedarfair needs to get their priorties straight.

Sorry thought you were one of those kids that sits and watches the cams all day ... apologies. Wish I could try it too - I hear the air conditioned work :(

Don't start with the conspiracy theories - that's old and tired. And buying Geauga Lake has nothing to do with coaster maintenance.

Dragster is only up for a week at a time before it goes down? Says who?

I wish I had $500 to spend on riding one specific roller coaster when I was 16. Especially when it's a piece of crap!

Hey Ben, try leaving, getting your facts straight, and then come back here and talk once you know what your actually talking about.

"maby" you should realize its not Cedar Point's fault it's not running... Think and find out what your saying before you say it so it doesn't look like your talking out your @$$.

I was there Sunday through Tuesday and TTD was down all of those days except 15 min on Sunday. I got on with no wait
if it is not CP's Fault who's is it. Intamin? the mechanics? or is it just the customer's fault for going when it is broken (Stupid customers for not planning their trips around TTD's down times)

You should know by now that going to a park only to ride one thing can lead to trouble. If your primary focus is to ride it, and you know it tends to go down a lot, why not plan your trip near the beginning and end of season when the mechanics have a full week to fix it when the park isnt open?

And they are not charging $43 to ride TTD, rather they are charging $43 to be admitted into the park.

Since when are they charging $43 for a Dragster ride? Oh, wait. You mean entry into the park where there are 67 other attractions for you to ride and spend time on... Oh....

Rides can have issues. Look at the Deja Vu trio. And saying Cedar Fair is turning into Six Flags? Come on. It's one ride out of a huge number of rides owned by the chain. In fact, it's only because this ride is so advanced. It's other "siblings" aren't as advanced and are running fine.

If you are actually planning your trip around TTD, you have other issues to work out.

I have gone to Cedar Point 9 times this year, only once has TTD been down the whole day. I have never gone to the park and seen MF down either, this is the first ride I have gone and seen down. It is not always down, 1/10 chances of it being closed IMO.

I went to MM one time and Scream, S:TE, collosus backwards, Riddlers Revenge, Flaskback, and Deja Vu were all down. X had one train operation, yet Viper had 2.

I used to go to SFWOA, BKF would be down at least once ever day, X-Flight rarely had more then 2 trains running.

WAA! WAAA!

Kleenex stock just took a jump!

I had posted on Saturday the 26th a picture of a truck with a crane on it right near the operator station of TTD. The crane looked to be extended over the track.

It appears that somehow my post looks to have been deleted or something since I cannot find it any longer.

But, I noticed the crane around 1 pm Cedar Point time. Around 2-3 pm, the crane was gone, the queue was empty, and the ride wasn't running.

Sike!!...They all use the same technology. TTD's just has more horsepower. But either way, I think CP is doing a real good job in keeping the ride open as much as they can. Does this mean that the relationship between Intamin and Cedar Fair is shot?

Fate is the path of least resistance.

Just took a quick look-see at the ol' TTD TowerCam and the ride looks to have a healthy queue this evening. Tough luck fearless benji.

Just about to say the same thing.

Antuan, I believe the topic has gone in circles in the technology aspect, but I thoguht the consensus was that TTD is more technologically advacned as it has more sensors and has to push the train much harder. Regardless, I could and probably am wrong.
I was at the park yesterday (the 31st) from 5 until after 9, and TTD was running the entire time. Talking with other people, it didn't open until sometime in the afternoon.
I just got back from spending most of the day at the park today. From the time the gates opened for Joe Cool, until 8:00pm, I didn't see TTD stop launching trains every 40 seconds the entire day.
