I guess I never knew this, but they can use parachutes as a backup breaking system on TTD? I found this pic on PointBuzz today:

That would be cool if some one can Photoshop a pair of braking parachutes on the back of on of the TTD trains in the brake run!!! ;););)

The brakes didn't fail, technically. The mechanismns that move the brakes into place failed.
