TTD- Where to begin?

Associated parks:
None

Well my Internet Explorer just crashed and I lost my entire trip report. Therefore, I'll just tell you about TTD.

I waited for 6 hours and it was worth every second. This was hands down the single most intense experience I have ever gone through on any amusement park ride, anywhere. There is no acceleration, just INSTANTANEOUS SPEED. It's the kind of ride that makes you reexamine your life, your entire knowledge of roller coasters, and what jet pilots and drag racers go through! I was speechless for a minute, my jaw was open, my pupils dilated, and I screamed, "Oh my god" for a good minute after the ride. I hope Fox didn't use the footage they got of me because I was a complete mess. If you like a certain ride because of its intensity, you can kiss it goodbye from your #1 spot because NOTHING can compare to what this ride does to you. I don't even know if I can make this my #1 spot because it is so different than all of the traditional rides I have been on. I only other ride that must be as crazy as this is "X", simply because it is so far off of the radar. I beg of you to get to CP as quickly as you possibly can and ride this ride, no matter how long the wait. CP has once again managed to out-do themselves and build another RIDICULOUS roller coaster. I can't wait to see what they have in store next; I just hope it's not a 500 footer, because it would be painful!! :)

Some technical stuff: three train operation, with pretty poor dispatch intervals. They had to confiscate one man's camera, and then both trains had no to move back one block, then move back forward one block. I didn't know why they had to reset the system. They only had two breakdowns (should I say 15 minute "silent periods?), but I didn't even know what was going on because the queue is pretty much all covered on one side by boards.

See you there!

Wow. If anyone had ridden Hypersonic and TTD can you compare them?

Sure. Hypersonic is nothing compared to TTD. There are less Gs in the change of direction to go vertical, and the tophat doesn't pull hard on your legs. The launch is intense, but more comfortable.

which one is which?

I would assume you mean less G's on TTD, TTD's tophat doesn't pull hard, and TTD's launch is more comefortable....all of which make TTD sound less intense than Hypersonic....

Hypersonic is a piece of crap. Yeah, great launch, but the restraint hurts your legs. It pops you too hard over the top.

Dragster is intense as hell, but very comfortable.

I think not. I am of average height, skinny build, and the six rides I had on Hypersonic last summer were all outstanding - not at all painful. Perhaps you rode Hype during its first season Jeff?

In any case, I am looking forward to making the comparison as many folks have told me that TTD's launch is somewhat less intense.

I wouldn't say XLC is a piece of crap, but it ain't nothin compared to TTD. How can you say XLC hurts your legs if you're a Magnum afficionado? lol

How many trains should I look for TTD to be running on May 13, a Tuesday and how long do you think the wait will be?
Good question. I, Captain Obvious, went to the local American Legion of Self-Proclaimed SuperHeros and asked FutureMan. He said four trains will be running and you'll wait 3 hours, 56 minutes, 12 seconds.

I hope you appreciate my work here...he started talking about the climax of Matrix Revolutions again and I had to put my hands over my ears and chant "Lalalalalalala" for 15 minutes. I hate when he does that.

XLC is a piece of crap compared to Dragster.

The launch is jst as intense on both, just difference intense. XLC is pretty instantaneous, but the initial launch on Dragster feels the same but it just yanks on you for so incredibly long. The speed is amazing and on Dragster you have time to appreciate the speed unlike XLC.

On top of all that Dragster doesn't slam you all to heck like XLC. If i didn't know better I woudl say XLC were a Vekoma.

The air is just as extreme on Dragster, but beyond that the entire ride experience is better.

No matetr how you shake it Dragster is the most intense 20 seconds of my life. It is pure insanity.

It surpassed all of my expectations while XLC left me saying, thats it? Dragster is perfect IMO

Dooooooooooooooiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeee, ya think?

Looks like we have a winner, too. Would jkpark like his overly-beaten horsemeat sammich with Dijon mustard or mayo? What's that you say? Horseradish? Hey, suit yourself. Shall we slice it in half? Excuse me? Whip the bread too? Rigggggghht.
