Tsunami @ Clementon. Construction??

Has construction started on Tsunami Yet? Any idea when it will start? There is a lack of new coasters this year, but I thought that perhaps we can look at the smaller parks that are getting new coasters. Plus, why arn't there there any concentrations on these two parks, since the're both getting woodies. Dollywood seems to be getting the most attention in the wood department. What about the S&S woodie going up in Wisconsin Dells?

I think Dollywood is getting most of the attention because construction is so far along and so well documented. I suspect once the other parks start stepping up construction you'll see updates on those coasters as well.

I live in LA, so I can't easily drive by Clementon and see how far along they are. But I've been working with the park for a project of mine coming later this year that will feature Tsunami. It's slated to open in late May. Since the structure is steel I think they have plenty of time to get it done on time.

I'm also very interested about the Dells woodie. I haven't even heard the stats for the ride aside from it being 2000 feet.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

According to First Drop (ECC club) the Dells woodie will be 75ft. tall. It is said to circle the park and looking at the drawing, it will circle the park twice. Both the Dells woodie and Tsunami will use PTC trains.
Coaster Ken, do you have any links for that information? I would like to take a peek. Thanks.

There's nothing like a woodie...
I live about 1/2 hour from Clementon so I will take a spin out that way this week. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,

I can report nothing has happened as of 1/3/04. I drive by the park daily. I will post pictures once we see something happening. There is nothing even on site as of today.
Wow, I must have really gotten out of the loop here, what about a new wooden coaster in the Dells?

Mildly amused since 2003.
