TR:TR, The Lava Section

In the lava section I am aware you are upside down. The question is are you lying face down or are you upside down (head down) at this point? Is it more like a prone coaster position or like the Bezerker (or whatever its name is now) at PKD where you are heads down for a long time and start to see stars and get the head rush.
You're more head-down at that point. The lava effect is actually behind the ride vehicle's loading/unloading/start position. I still think that you're held above the lava a lil too long. It's a awesome effect, especially in the front row, but it's too drawn out and a lil uncomfortable. Just my 2 cents

Lotus Notes suck!!!

The lava pit is mechanically below and behind the ride. So you're face down and head down for that scene. The scene itself lasts for about 20 seconds from the time the lights come on until the tub releases, but before the lights come on you are prepositioned for nearly 10 seconds. So that segment accounts for nearly 30 seconds of a 150-second ride cycle. By comparison, the stalactite scene is about seven seconds.

Thanks for the info. I just know I enjoyed the Bezerker and being upside down like that was fun for the first 10 - 15 seconds. Then after that when the blood rush to the head starts it lost the fun effect. Of course I have to say I rode that ride at PKD seven times in a row but that was in my younger years (12 yrs ago). I hope to ride TR:TR soon and see for myself.

I have ridden Berserker and TR:TR both many times. Trust me when I say that the pressure on your head and upper body is not nearly as great on TR:TR than on Berserker.

I dissagree, I do not remember feeling pain in my shoulders for the rest of the day from Beserker, The whole weight of you body is supported on your shoulders on TR:TR, I believe Beserker provides some lap support too.

I like TR:TR, I like the effect, but I do think that should be cut to about half the amount of hang time. Don't know how you do it but maybe just swing it down a little faster.

Americana (Now called The great americana amusement park at Lesourdsville Lake) is opening in 2002. Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.
