The first written news report that I have seen is now online.
I and Sean are quoted, but I do not post this link to toot our own horns. I do so because if you are curious about the antichamber and staging areas, Connie gives the best description I have read or heard so far.
When we were asked, you shoudl have seen Sean and I tip-toeing around the G**** T** S*** term. We got a big chuckle out of it actually.

Funny, I expect that the manufacturer reps were going over the ride unit and then *poof!* the plaque appeared.

I defininitelyly hope that this is only the first of more Giant rides from Huss at PKI. I don't really want any more with extreme theme unless they can pull it off this well like with TRTR. I probably won't be riding the Huss rides, but I know a lot of people will find them to be right up their alley.
Thanks for all the reporting again Shaggy. You're quotes were kind of humorous as well.
I was wondering if you noticed the ride making different cycles each time you rode or were they all pretty much the same to you?
Lastly, do you think the water will return towards summer? Any more you can tell us with respect to that? Thanks again and have fun riding... over... and over... and over again!! I'm glad you found it so reridable and I hope I and everyone else does as well!!
The cycles of the ride unit itself were the exact same the 7 times I rode yesterday. Not to say that they will not tweak them.
Who knows about the water!. I will say this, when we first rode the seats were soaked and people were getting beaned right in the kisser by heavy giesers. (It was hysterical!) But then they were turned off. Not because of the facial squirts, but most likely due to the ennormous "SQUUUUUUEEEEEEEEK" that started getting louder as the ride operated over and over with heavy water.
The heavy water squirts were gone after about our 2nd ride or so. At first we thought it was because because of the cameras and media. But no, it now seems it may be ride preservation related.
I hope they work it out. I cannot explain how big a suprise it was to certain select individuals that got a big dousing right in the head!
But..... there is another water effect other than the lava pit and giesers...................

At least I dont call a vertical loop a "loopdie-loop"!
Man, some people just don't get it. It doesn't get much more unique than this!

I seriously can't wait to ride TR next month. From everything I've heard I think the ride will be a huge hit. You could take away all the theming and the rest of the "experience", and still be left with a GIANT top spin. That in and of itself would be great. Add in the "Tomb Raider" ingrediants, and you've got something quite spectaular I suspect. Count me in...

Coming Soon: Coasters "American" Style.
Shaggy,
LOL! Having spending some time with Connie was great, but it really was a chore waiting in the Antechamber and trying to come up with some other ways to describe it...........and then along comes Jeff to the rescue.
As far as the water squirts.............yea it was real funny seeing the guy get slapped with some H20........until it hit me next. =:^)
Idora,
Personally, I think having the only version of a ride in the entire world if pretty unique. That may be just me though.
