trouble downloading RCT2 games

To fix this you have to (I am assuming your using Windows XP):

1. locate your RCT2 folder (My location is RCT2 on my HD is "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2" your location might be different so do a search for "RollerCoaster Tycoon 2" using the search function in your start menu)

2. Go into the "Saved Games" folder in the "Rollercoaster Tycoon 2" folder.

3. Highlight and right click on any file in that folder.

4. In the right click menu select "open with"

5. Now the "open with" menu should be open, It should have RCT2 under recommended programs, if its not scroll down to find it. IF its not listed you have to click on browse and find the RCT2 program through there (hint it is located just below the folder your looking in IE: "C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\RollerCoaster Tycoon 2").

6. Once you find RCT2 in the "open with" menu, click on it, then click on "always use selected program to open this kind of file", then click on "OK"

7. Go back down to the main "Rollercoaster Tycoon 2" folder and repeat steps 2-7 with the "Scenarios" folder and the "Tracks" folder.

If you still don't understand anything above. Then Reinstall RCT2 it will reassociate the files to that program and not RCT3. *** Edited 6/14/2006 6:22:45 PM UTC by Sawblade5***
