Trips to parks planned this year?

I'm wondering... Do any of you have any "major" trips to parks planned this year (especially those of you who haven't gone to too many parks [like me])? I bring this up because, while my mom and dad and I were watching "World's Best Thrill Parks" on the Travel Channel last night, Mom mentioned that, for a vacation this summer, we might go to the area around one of two parks. They are (in the order they were in in the show): Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Cedar Point. Here are the reasons for each:

BGW: It's more than just rides, my Mom has always wanted to go to that part of the country, and we have a relative who works for Anheuser Busch so we could get in free.

CP: Mainly that it's closer than BGW. However, knowing that my mom isn't the coaster type, I asked her what she'd do the whole time. She said, "Stand around a lot," but my dad said that there's probably something there she'd ride. In addition, who knows, with my dad and I both talking to each other, we might be able to talk each other into riding Millie! I don't think Maggie would be a problem for me, as my first real coaster was a hyper.

Your friend works for Anheiser Busch? Forget the park, focus on getting free beer. :)

"The Peoples Elbow" or "The Spinaroonie?. Cant decide which is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment!!! LOL
Let's see, how many trips do I have planned this year?  ;)

Seriously, my wife and I are planning on several trips this season, one of which is coming up this weekend!  Here's a rundown on the places that we are going:

Knott's Solace - this weekend (including SFMM, DL/DCA)

Stark Raven Mad - May/June (including SFKK, IB and possibly PKI)

Weekend in Las Vegas - July (including Buffalo Bill's)

Coaster Alley Convergence @ Silverwood - September (including Puyallup, Enchanted Village and PNE)

Phoenix Phall Phunfest - October (including Dorney, SFNE and LC)

IAAPA - November

So there you have it.  All of the trips that we are planning on taking this year.  It would've been more, but money is tight... ;)

My only "major" trip confirmed thus far is my SRM trip.  12 days, ten parks.  I'm also planning a Pacific NW trip in September.

I already did my 8 day Florida trip.  My wife might say yes to another extended holiday to Cedar Point this year with a stop at either MA or IB.  Time will tell on that one.  If it were my choice I would push for the CP unless you can convince Mom to also go to PKD while you are out in Virginia.  BTW send me a case of that Bud Ice while you are at it.  My wife and I got hooked on it when we were at Seaworld and Busch Tampa.  That is coming from someone who lives in Miller country!

My major coaster trip this year is going to be CoasterCon XXV at SFMM and KBF.  Considering I live in northeastern Ohio this is a big trip for me.  I am also going to KennyKon, CoasterMania, and possibly the Leap-the-Dips 100th Anniversary Celebration.  So as you can see I have a pretty busy summer ahead.
I am trying to get suggestions for my trip.  It starts with TimbersFest and then my early plans for this trip is to hit SFGAM, Valleyfair, Wisconsin Dells.     I need two more parks that are not to far from either dells or Valleyfair.   How far would Arnolds be?

Chuck, really looking forward to this. and of course SRM!

167 coasters and hopes to be over 200 by the end of 2002 :)

Hmmm...I have a sort of "proposed" trip which could happen over the summer which would include CP, SFWOA, PKI, SFSTL, SFGAM, AL, WoF, HW, and maybe indiana beach. Unfortunately my friend has to get a job for that to become a reality, and things aren't looking so good right now for that to happen. I might end up returning to Texas or going up to Northern California again. I am taking a trip for sure, I just don't know where to yet! :)
BGW

SFoG

Las Vegas, SFMM, KBF, and DCA

I'm taking the parents, the hubby, and the sister-in-law (and maybe even our best man) to cedar point this june for 3 days.
Arnold's is a doable afternoon park if you leave early from the twin cities area, but Adventureland would actually be closer in terms of drive time. (lots of backroads by the Okobojis)

Personally, I don't think I'll be doing any coaster trips as much as hitting one park on a day off of work.  So far I hope to get to Worlds of Fun, Cedar Point, Michigan's Adventure, and Big Chief's.  I will also be at VF most of the summer, but that goes without saying. :)

I never thought I would beat last year's trips so quickly but this year is definetly going to smash last year. First trip to the Coasterbuzz Con at PKI. Next up a trip to NoCal for SFMW and PGA. Final trip is a roadtrip with SFNE, SFA, SFGA, BGW and PKD. With season passes to SF and Paramount it won't cost an extreme amount of money either :) Thank god for parents who realize the needs of teenage coaster junkies!

unfortunately, my family is not the coaster type, but i managed to get BGT over spring break on our "all over florida" trip. i am also gonna go to SFOG, but that is my home park, as i have allready purchased a season pass

The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.
May 29th through June 10th will be my biggest major coaster trip for the 2002 season which I have been saving money for a while now and some of it will be coasterbuzz club events also. Heres the plan:

May 29th through June 10th:
29th, Driving to Indiana, 30th, 31st & June 1st Holiday World Stark Raven Mad, 2nd Indiana Beach 1st visit, 3rd Driving to Chicago, 4th Six Flags Great America 2nd visit, 5th Driving to Ohio, 6th Six Flags Worlds Of Adventure 2nd visit, 7th Cedar Point (Coastermainia) 8th Cedar Point, 9th Paramonts Kings Island 2nd visit. 10th Driving Back To Minnesota.

I will be home for 3 days for a breather than its back out to Michigans Adventure during June 14th-16th. I cant wait for this trip because I have been planning for it for sometime now. I also may stop at the old Chippewa Lake Park because I have always wanted to see what a defunct park is I will be doing that on the way to Six Flags Worlds of Adventure.

Oh, and my relative does not work for Anheuser-Busch as in the brewery. He works at one of their parks, specifically Grant's Farm in St. Louis, just to clear that up.

In addition, being able to get free beer would be of little value to me, since I'm under 21.
