Hello,
I like to travel with the family once a year. This year we went to SFMM and BGW. (8000 mile road trip included)
I have been to most Disney Parks, KBF, SFMM, and BGW. I have plans to visit CP for the next trip.
What one park do you think we should visit? And, why?
What one park do YOU want to visit? And, why?
Thanks!
I think you should visit PKD in Virginia since it is a incredible park and will be getting a new coaster. (Arrow Wild mice) Plus you probably haven't ridden Hypersonic yet, so It definitely seems like a trip that i will be taking. i personally want to go to SFOG if they get a unique coaster for 2002. I haven't been there ever and i would probably check out Wild Adventure in georgia, too.
Holiday World and Michegan's Adventure! And a return to Indiana Beach. :)
Might make a separate trip to Silverwood during a visit with friends in Missoula.

I've got laser eyes, and I know what you're thinking. It comes to no surprise, the Christmas lights are blinking.

I was seriously thinking about getting a season pass and trying to see how many SF parks we could visit in three weeks.
And! I have family relatives in Texas, near Fort Worth, that I could lodge at for free!
Which one of these three parks would you consider more worthwile a visit if I could only manage the time for one?
You really need to take a trip to Kennywood. They have great food, a great atmosphere, fantastic rides, and Phantom's Revenge is the ride that took Magnum out of the #1 spot for me. Plus it is very reasonably priced, especially if you go during thw week.
Try hitting some of the great independant parks in Pennsylvania. Kennywood, Lakemont, Hershey, and Knobels makes a great combo.
You should get out to SFGAdv. we got an awesome coaster selection (especially if you like steel). Some highlights are NITRO, MEDUSA, and B&R: The Chiller (which is incredible with lapbars, can't wait until Batman gets them, Robin rocks). Also we have a really good flat ride selection and who knows they're could be a new coaster in 2002 because GAdv. has been known to get two coasters in a row. Also if you come to GAdv. your not far from Morey's Piers in Wildwood which is an awesome place.

Well, Cedar Point is probably the best park you haven't been to in America. Islands of Adventure is great too, plus there are other parks in Orlando/Tampa. Kennywood is a good pick too, the park is very cozy, traditional, and friendly. Oh yeah, they also have my favortie roller coaster, Phantom's Revenge. All that said, I think I would go to Cedar Point and drive from there to Kennywood.

Bull rides: 103
Batman rides: 61
Yes, get the season pass - or maybe even a couple. I've got SF and CF passes, and because of them I've been to 7 different parks this year and ridden more coasters than any other year of my life !!! :)
I strongly recommend visiting SFGAm, of course. It is my home park ! I think out of all the SF parks, it is in the top 3 or 4 for us coaster lovers. And it is really well run compared to other SF parks. Plus if you are vacationing, you'll have all of Chicago and Milwaukee at your fingertips. You could add a trip to Wisconsin Dells too.
As for parks I'd like to visit...any and all of them !!! More seriously though, I'd like to get to SFGAdv, SFoG, SFWoA (might still make it for Fright Fest this year), Kennywood, Hershey Park, and IOA (plus all the midwestern parks as usual !).

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) Timber Wolf
Steel: 1) Raging Bull 2) Millennium Force 3) V2 4) Wild Thing 5) Mr. Freeze
If you are planning a trip to CP, then plan a side trip to Kennywood. Between the selection of rides, great atmosphere, good food at a decent price and just an all around good time, you won't be disappointed.
Two parks I would like to visit are Holiday World and Michigan's Adventure. Definately getting to Holiday World next year :)

By all means, SFoT! It was by far the best overall park of my Texas trip I took this past summer. (SFoT, SFFT, SFAW, Jazzland) The coaster count is pretty high, and most of them are incredibly good! SFoT gives "those other two" parks a run for their money. I wish there was a launched coaster as good as Mr. Freeze at every park!

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
Canobie lake park in Salem NH
Awsome beautiful park with the BEST wood coaster!!!!!!
If you are looking for overall coaster count, do the Northeast, parks like Dorney, Knoebels, SFGAdv, SFA, SFNE, Kennywood, Lake Compounce, etc. If you are looking for the best theme park in existence today with some of the best rides and attractions ever created, then IOA is the place to go. I just got back from a tour of Orlando, with multiple days at IOA, and one day at BGT and Seaworld. While BGT disappointed, Seaworld was great and IOA just blew me away. It's the best park I've ever been too, and Hulk is my #1 coaster of all time. :)

BGW, PKD, SFA, SFGAdv., SFMM, IOA, BGT, CP, SFWoA, SFStl, Vegas,... ahh the list goes on, I think every park i have been to is worth traveling to by far.
