Trip to SFGA in NJ

We are planning a trip to Six Flags in NJ soon. We have to go to the park on a Saturday, just wondering if anyone knows is it best to go before the Halloween events gets started. I don't know how busy this park is, if anyone has any information please let me know. Also if you know what rides I should do first. Thanks
Busy. That's how it pretty much always is.

But I have been there on plenty of busy days, and Nitro's wait always hovers around 20-25 minutes, Medusa always around 30-35 minutes and Batman just a little longer. For a busy park, I think they always do a faily good job of moving people through.

Actually, the past couple of years, I considered Nitro's crew to be amongst the best I had ever seen! They made a long line move quite fast...

I guess you could get lucky and have a day like mine, although I had hope that this is how the park always was :-\... http://coasterbuzz.com/forum.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=34094

If you can, I'd suggest going in September. Saturdays in October tend to be very busy with Fright Fest going on.

I'd head to S:UF right at opening, followed by Chiller.

Park is packed on weekends in Oct. I also suggest going this month. Maybe one a Sunday if possible.

Are they still open Fridays? You might want to consider that as opposed to a weekend day. If you have to go weekends, Sunday is probably the way to go.

I went SUnday after PPP last year. One of the best days I have ever had a park, got all my credits, had an awesome time.

If given the choice I'd choose a hamburger over a hotdog anyday of the week.

I usually go on a weekend in September. If it's not too late to sign up, this coming weekend is Coaster Celebration with ERTs.
It's not to *late* to sign up as they do on-site registration. However, it is hella expensive now. Somewhere in the vicinity of 70 bucks with or without a season pass. It's kind of a rip at that price with no Batman: Chiller running.

The plus side (and what made me sign up at the half price rate) is that there will be nighttime ERT on NITRO on Saturday. It gets pretty dark back in those woods.

I'll be at great adventure probabally otcober 3rd or 4th. Not sure when yet. Flying in to penn to visit my g/f in college. Six flags is only 73 miles from where she is so I have to go. Also gonna try to hit dorney while im there.
Jeremy- the fact that Nitro is ALL ALONE in those back woods, unlike just about every other hyper aside from Apollo's Chariot, is one of the best parts of the ride. There is a sense of isolation back there that seems completely strange in a theme park that size!

I actually recommend doing chiller at opening. It's HORRIBLE capacity but pretty decent ride lead to a huge wait, whereas S:UF will calm down later in the day after most people have had their one lap.

Robin is the better Chiller anyway;) It is faster this year as well, Launching at 72 instead of 65.

If I was part of a coaster, I would be an upstop pad on an Arrow Mine Train.

But it doesnt have the intensity that Robin does. I still stand by my asertion that that backwards Zero G roll with only lapbars is the greatest coaster element of all time.
