I really do feel like he is doing a pretty good job so far, but there is much more room for improvement. His spelling, grammar, and punctuation are all okay, which can't be said for some of the noobs. Half the time he tries to make a good point. CoasterBuzzNoobs can't just jump in here and expect to know what kind of conversation is expected of them. I think that once these new kids realize how we talk, they will be a great addition to the conversation. I have enjoyed about half of their posts so far. They have potential.
On Facebook, I read that someone said that CoasterBuzz needs new blood, and I agree. As far as I am concerned, the more, the merrier, as long as they know how to add to the conversation the right way.
Here's another tip for making great posts; Reread before you click the post button, maybe even out loud. If it sounds goofy, fix it.
And another: If something you say becomes a CoasterBuzz meme, in which people repeat it throughout other posts, yes they are making fun of you, but they don't know you personally, so try not to take it personally. Laugh with them and roll with it.
As far as the stuff you write about here, don't try too hard to fit in. Just be yourself. Different opinions is what makes CoasterBuzz so interesting, in my opinion.
And if you see a mistake, click edit and fix it. My personal rule is to not fix a mistake if it has been pointed out publicly, so that everyone has a chance to laugh at it. Everyone makes mistakes. :)
I like the enthusiasm these kids present. It's helping me to get excited about amusement parks all over again. :)
Also, I will not edit if my mind has been changed by a future post, of course. I will just make a new post stating that my mind has been changed, because it's fun to read what changed someone's mind.

Agreed, however there's a degree of self-awareness needed for this to apply.
Perhaps. But we made him that way. ;-)

Yeah, he used to be a pretty surly bast---. Hehehehehe...just kiddin, Travis.
I agree that it is great you are so excited and enthusiastic. It is difficult to find true coaster/theme park enthusiasts. Most of my friends have little to no interest in hearing me talk about rides ad nauseum, so I was both relieved and excited to find this site. Plus, Jeff keeps things very honest and clean here, and the other posters all take care of each other (every now and then, a troll gets in, but they're deleted with extreme quickness).
I hope to see many more of your posts!

We've seen MANY posters come and go over the last decade. The ones who heed the advice of the mods and the long-haul contributors do well, and the ones who take offense easily typically leave before learning "netiquette."
Doesn't mean I can't be just a little bitter about Andy being more important than me....but it does mean I have to hide my bitterness. :)
C'mon...the womb wasn't THAT bad, was it?

Don't sweat it, Tyler. In 10 years we'll all still be here and we can admire your growth and skillz then. ;-)
