Trip to Dania Beach

Friday morning, I am leaving for Boca Raton, Florida. I should get there before noon. I know that Boomers is only about 30 miles away. My parents are sort of reluctant to take me there since we would have to take a taxi there. Would it be worth the trip to Dania Beach to ride the Hurricane? I would probably only stay a couple of hours. Is there anything else to do in Dania Beach shopping wise? I think my Mom would agree to take me there if there was something for her to do like shop. Are there any outlet malls or anything? I just don't want to miss out on this ride because I know I wont be going there again anytime soon. Thanks

Actually, the world's largest outlet mall "Sawgrass Mills" isn't too far away. If you need directions, email me at cstrfrk@bellsouth.net.

Here's a link to the malls site: http://www.sawgrassmillsmall.com/

Dania Beach isn't really even a place, but your not to far from Fort Lauderdale or Miami. The best malls around are Aventura, Sawgrass Mills, Boca Town Center, Dolphin Mall, Sunset Place, or if your looking for a very expensive upscale mall, go to Bal Harbour Shops.

I drove 3 hours there AND back out of the way, and it was worth it! The Hurricane is a great coaster with lots of airtime. I refered to it as a "Mini-Timbers" because I loved it so much. Make sure you pay a few extra bucks and do the Skyscraper, it is by far the most insane, intense pay-per attraction I have ever been on!

Dania Beach is so a place. It's a city in south florida.

DBH is a GREAT coaster. It is a very unique ride with a lot of air. It is a perfect example of how a smaller sized ride can be intense and exciting. It has a very interesting layout and is well worth a few hours of your time.

I love the small hump before the turnarounds. It's almost insane.

The coaster just keeps getting better every time I find myself in South Florida....there's never a line (even on Sat. nites we've walked on). The policy of making you exit is kinda silly, but at least it's not one of those PKI/SFGAm type "marathon-queues". (I remember leaving Viper and wondering if I'd ever find the midway again).....but the ride is great....go after a light rain and you'll FLY..

...and for $10, you can become a "frequent flyer"....SO much better than their original pricing *scheme*....

Yes, Dania Beach most certainly IS a city. They have their own Chamber of Commerce, and they are known as the very first city in Broward County, FL.

As for the Hurricane, I would certainly make the extra trip out to ride it! I live on the West coast of FL, but plan to make the 3 hr drive next month to ride the DBH myself! ;)

Hey ditto why are you gonna be in Boca. I go to college at Florida Atlantic University in Boca. As for the Hurricane, I loved it. No wait, great ride. Doesnt get any better than that.
My mom has some doctor conference there. I'm just tagging along for fun and hopefully a coaster.
