looking for resources and advice in finding camp sites near the following parks.

Six Flags America (Upper Marlboro, Maryland)
Six Flags Great Adventure (Jackson, New Jersey)
Six Flags New England (Agawam, Massachusetts)
Busch Gardens Williamsburg (Williamsburg, Virginia)

ive done some browsing on the official sites, but all they have are hotels on the site.

this site says there mintues from Six Flags Great Adventure.... http://www.beachcomber.com/Camp/Ocean/indian.html

For SFA, try Capitol Koa Campground in Millersville (410-923-2771). You're only about 20 minutes away from the park, and there's lots of restaurants and grocery stores on your way. There's dirtcheap gas (well, at least for our area) on the road that parallels Rt. 97 in Millersville. You'll also pass the homeoffice of Premier Rides also on the way to the gas stations, so if you like Joker's Jinx, maybe you can stop by and pay them a compliment:) [by the way, their office isn't listed on the sign in their business community, and the office is really, really tiny].

thanks for the replies so far, based on ramona's links ive found some acceptable sites. however, i was hoping to find some places with a shuttle so i dont have to pay for parking (need to make this trip as cheap as possible.)

we reserved stays everwhere except for new jersey, it seems ever site wants us to send them a check to reserve rather than use a credit card. im not into sending a check and was wondering if this is a nj thing, or if i havent found the right camp site yet.

thoughts?

Try http://www.koa.com . Koa has campgrounds all over the place, and the ones near parks do have a shuttle. I'm heading to BGW, SFA, and Hershey next week, and staying at two Koa's, and both have a free shuttle to the parks.

Is it May yet??
