Anyway, I didn't realize SFKK didn't open until Memorial Day Weekend. My question is, are parks (HW, SFGAm, Dells, SFKK) going to be crowded in the days after Memorial Day?
It has been my experience to find pretty small crowds before, on, and shortly after Memorial Day.
In that area, the days immediately following Mem. Day, I've typically found lighter crowds (at least for the week until schools have closed), but also that usually means shorter operating hours... ;)
Best bet really is the park's operating schedule....longer hours means bigger crowds.
Day 1 (May 25th): Drive from Tallahassee, Florida to Louisville and get a hotel.
Day 2 (May 26th): Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom from open until around 4:30 or 5pm. Drive to Holiday World for HoliWood Nights.
Day 3 (May 27th): Holiday World all day and HoliWood Nights at night.
Day 4 (May 28th): Drive from Holiday World to Atlanta, GA. Stay in Atlanta and go out to a couple clubs/bars at night.
Day 5 (May 29th): Six Flags over Georgia and drive back home to Tallahassee, Florida.
It's going to be exhausting, but it should be a great time. There's three of us going (all 22yr old). We figured that the crowds at SFoG might be crazy on Monday, so, we may just skip it and head home if it's insane. We're getting SF passes at SFKK, so it won't really be a loss if we don't do SFoG, although I realllly want to ride Goliath.
Both of the guys I'm going with have never been to any parks other than Busch Gardens and Islands of Adventure. I've been to all of the parks, so it's going to be fun seeing their reactions to everything.
If anyone has any suggestions, they'd be great.
Goliath is WELL worth the stop at SFOG and since you already will have season passes, I'd say go for it. Even if it's really crowded, grab a few rides on it and then head home.
Don't forget the time change from Eastern to Central going to HW, and vice versa coming back.
