The "problem" with Herc and Jerk (not to be confused with Clean and Jerk), at least IMO, is the turn over the water....little/no banking, sharp turn, right at the base of the frist drop! Small wonder they installed a couple hundred feet of brakes...(ok, I'm overestimating, but not by much). I credit Herc's sub-par performance to design, and when I ride a woodie ONLY once, it's pretty poor...
But as noted, the trims don't need to be on Full-Blast when there's just SO MANY of them...the effect's the same. Also as noted, they don't necessarily hurt the ride THAT much...I just prefer they not use trims in place of routine maintenance...
There's more at Paramount Great America than Grizzly, Demon@PGA is totally washed up with it's trims now(nice touch after taking out every bit of theming including the rocky tunnel dcenery an tunnel through the loop).
You don't think you can ruin such a short ride such as Greased Lightnin'? Think again, there are trims right after the the launch that can be felt easily, you get launched out of the station and feel like something is trying to pull you back. Then when you go backward, they apply the brakes again and now only one car of the whole train actually goes up the back spike. If there was no Montezuma in California, then we would never know what Anton's great creation is really like.
On Green Slime Mine Coaster, might I ask, WHO GOT THE BRIGHT IDEA OF PUTTING TRIMS ON A KIDDIE COASTER? Right when you go up into the ride's(only) helix, there are brakes at the top and around the first part of the turn. I remember that wildmouse type feeling before, and even that is gone.
What is wrong with Paramount and taming coaster? Next thing you know there will be trim breaks on top of Hypersonic XL and all the way down Son of Beast's first drop.
