Trim Brakes on BEAST

Agreed, WildOne. Nothing beats the Beast at night in the first car, first seat. (Except the Beast, at night, first car, first seat, NO TRIMS!)

As best I can tell, the skid brakes are permanent, and can't be disengaged.

Quite the contrary. The brakes on The Beast are all variable. I've had all sorts of rides on it where the first drop trims were heavy and the shed was light and others where the first drop trims were light and the shed was heavy and so on.
