Uhg, I hate those stupid poker games, especially on Travel Channel. What does that have to do with traveling? It's horribly un-entertaining. "OMG... hes got a jack.. what... will... he... do... wait he folded... bummer...". I can't think of a logical reason to watch others play cards, I mean even Nascar might be more exciting then that, and I can get that same experience looking over an overpass...
Would be great if it was an actually new show though. There are so many re-runs anymore, they should spend more time and money on making more of those and less on Televised Card Games. That would be awesome to have an Park and Coaster Enthusiast Network. I mean, if you think about everything else that has a channel anymore, PCEN doesn't seem that far fetched. *** Edited 3/23/2007 3:52:42 AM UTC by P18***
Schlitterbahn Wet N Wild Orlando Dolly's Splash Country Raging Waters San Dimas, CA Typhoon Lagoon Walt Disney World Splish Splash in Riverhead, NY Kalahari Wisconsin Dells Noah's Ark
An interesting little tidbit about this production is that originally the episode was intended to be a "Top Waterparks" production with a countdown to the "number one" waterpark in the country. However Disney refused to participate if their waterparks were not ranked #1 & #2. Because the Travel Channel wanted to include the Disney waterparks, they had to change the format from "Top 10" to "Americas Favorite".

I DROPPED my Subscription to Cable because I got sick and tired of all the Garbage they are showing. I'm using the money I'm saving (About $60 a Month) to buy DVD Box Sets of my favorate Shows (The ones they don't show anymore :( ) If I had it my way I'd have the programmers for these channels do a 24 hour Marathon on Beech Bend's LOOPING STAR!
BTW I rank Ginnie Springs near Gainesville, Florida as my NUMBER ONE Waterpark, ;)
Noah's Ark is No. 2
Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are Tied for Third Place!

I guess Im a waterpark enthusiast too, I have been to half of that list shown last night (Schlitterbahn, Typhoon Lagoon, Water World (Denver also shown,) Noah's Ark, Kalahari.) They are a lot of fun, and I cant believe they didnt do a bit on Water Country USA this time (also a fantastic park, but looking back they have only added a river since the last show.)

Hehe, that's a long half-hour drive to Ginnie, we make it there at least once or twice a season...but I'm not as fond of the cold srpings (even though it's safer as far as alligators, LOL).
Schlitterbahn was crazy fun (swim-up bars are always a good idea)....wish the weather in Denver had been warmer, I'd have loved to have gone to Water World.
Schlitterbahn will proably allways be my favorite, the west side portion is just so unique and Master and Dragon Blaster are crazy fun. Right behind them der Bahn though is Water Country USA (Aquazoid and Hubba Hubba Highway,) and Noah's Ark (so many excellent slides I wont even name them.) Heck Im even looking forward to hitting Soak City's lazy river again this year (waves, keeps you wet but still relaxing, and some great views of Magnum.)

Thanks for the info! I'll be watchin' it on the repeat. Sad thing about it is that I might be in one of the shots at Dolly's Splash Country. They were filming something for Travel Channel when my wife and I were there last season (early September if I remember correclty). They spent an extra long time at the top of the hill shooting Big Bear Plunge. I am still trying to get my wife on that one and she's the waterpark enthusiast! I desparately want to get her to Schlitterbahn or at least Williamsburg's Water Country USA. Anyone care to comment on the best waterparks in NC SC GA and TN? *** Edited 3/23/2007 7:11:38 PM UTC by jshorerzd***
