Travel Channel Coaster Specials TONIGHT

Paul Ruben...trying to explain Superman: Ultimate Flight...very very classic interview.

These shows are so misinformed its not even funny...I'm not trying to be superior over anyone or anything...I'm just saying that they should at least try and explain this stuff better if tthats what they are trying to do anyway.

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

OK...THEY PASS UP ALPENGEIST...RAPTOR...and TALON...to ride MIND ERASER!?..WTF?

Yeah, I agree they could have easily showed Talon while they were at Dorney Park showing the skyscraper there. It looked they were going to show it for a second there, but cut away to SFDL to show Mind Eraser.

I thought the show was very Good. Except for Gemini part where everyone was saying it was a wooden coaster, when its really a steel coaster. I like how they showed new coasters instead of the same old new coasters like... Millineum Force. Other then that the show was good. I did watch a little of the Disney Show but it was real dumb. The family with minister made a 30 page book of what to do in Animal Kingdom!

My sig was edited because it was more than three lines.

I want to know how one gets into a position of making these films. With the cost of digital camcorders so low now, almost anyone with a little artistic sense and editing skillcould make a high quality film. But, of course, to do it you need the park to recognize your credentials so they will let you film on the rides and behind the scenes. So how does one achieve that status?

if I write a dozen parks and say I'm making a pilot, which I will then try to market to various cable channels, what are the odds they'll give me permission to film on ride and behind scene and interview key managers and engineers?

If I write a dozen cable channels what are the odds they'll say, "Sure, send us your film and we'll take a look at it" ?

What are the odds they'd pay me for it?

What are the odds I could recruit a dozen Coasterbuzz enthusiasts to serve as an advisory board and play the role of riders in the films? *** Edited 8/2/2004 8:40:01 PM UTC by Trekker Park***

The Disney show was not that good I was bored by it.

Generally these kinds of shows (quasi-documentaries) are pitched by a production company, and if the network likes the pitch, they'll give you money to make it.
