Can't wait to hear (read) Paula's/Will's thoughts.

15 seconds short as in 15 seconds faster than design speed??????

EDIT: Oh, you're going off the posted ride time of 2:45 and the 150 second comment. I'm curious as to the exact differential. :)

Wow, Paula got her ride in. I figured she'd wait until Media Day...until she had to. :) *** Edited 4/20/2006 10:57:35 PM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

Ok, after seeing those pics, I had to go back and watch the video on the HW page. I'm drooling guys, am I alone on this?

Ur Def. not the only one whom is drooling over this. The only thing I have to do now is get work to understand how big of a deal HW opening day is so I can be there that morning if not everyone will have like 20 rides on it before I get there that day. How bad is that?
See, I told you they were riding while the cam was off Voyage.

I would be too!

So who had 4/19 for first runs? was it Matt? Who seems to be getting everything including naming rights to the event :)

Question is, Will Paula ever ride again?

Chuck

I am drooling too guys. I cannot wait till the 6th. I will be on the charity train in the front seat! whooooooooooo best $202.50 I have ever spent!
You go guy!
Sure Coasterguy...rub it in. I won't be riding until at least the 26th along with a 1,000 members of our coaster family. Well, at least she'll be good and broken in by that time, (Oh, who am I fooling...this is killing me!).

LOL. No, I don't think I'm the "winner" of "this" contest, Chuck. :) But if someone can dig up that thread and prove me wrong, I'll be happy to accept. :) *** Edited 4/24/2006 4:20:14 AM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

Mutter mutter mumble mumble...my daughter just cracked 42" and my son is 36" so I won't be able to justify a trip to HW until one of them hits 48". Your wait until the 26th, Floorless Fan, is short! :) I have at least 1 year if not more! Sigh, the days of being single with 3 season passes are long gone...

Amen to that LdScotsman!

My 2 month old son is now 24 and 1/2 inches long, so he's got a ways to go.

Gone are the days of holding season passes for CF, SF, and Paramount parks, but I wouldn't ever trade being a dad for those days back.

Besides, the little guy is coming with us for Holiwood Nights ;)

^ 24 and 1/2 inches LONG? LOL!

Infants are x" long, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and beyond are x" TALL....

Just something ya notice when working with small children... ;)

Well Will Koch's *Ride report is up on the Holiblog.

Personally, I think it will be come a second seat ride.

When this puppy breaks in, He'll be a second seater! Float all whe way over hills 2-3-4!

Im so glad to hear the ride ends strong. It's gonna take some running to get the first half into the normal running mode but the second half is all downhill.

Chuck, eager to ride!

Coasterguy:
Bah! I should've bid like $4,000 at the last second so I could get the front seat lol. Didn't even think about it :(
Oh well I don't care where they stick me on the charity train it's gonna be fun!
My co-workers already think I'm insane as I sit here and cheer everytime I see a train testing on the webcam.
B&M GUY:

Where did you end up on the list. I ended up first. but the second spot has 2 seats so they probably want to be together. so the third person may end up sitting with me. My buddy that is going to make the trip with me does not ride them. and yes that is what I did the last hour I bid way higher to get at the top as I saw it was not going to go that high. But , I did read the dutch auctions rules several times first as I can only afford so much.. heheh :) I am so stoked. I cannot wait. cya there man. The ride looks AMAZING I cannot wait for them tunnels and those turns. WOW, And think of 5 years from now when those trees that were trimmed grow in a little. it will be amazing. I cannot help to wonder if this is gonna steal my favorite woody spot on my list from the Beast. I think it is gonna.

I am troydj19 on Ebay.... soooo... I'm down there a ways lol
I only had bid about 20 dollars or so above the final price, and I just didn't think about it :(
But the auction details say the highest bidder gets to choose their seat on the first ride, so does that mean they're going to move us all around everytime we come back?
I don't really care about the details, I think this will become my new fav woodie (Out and backs have always been my fav)
If I get one back car ride I'll be happy. All the motels that I could find between HW and Louisville are sold out for that friday night, so I'm guessing we won't be alone after that first hour :)
I'll be the guy in the wheelchair lol, I'm really hoping it dosen't slow things down for everyone or cause any problems. If so just send me rolling toward the Gobbler getaway and I'll pose as a turkey :P bwa hahahahaha!
is it may 6th yet?
can I be put in one of those self-induced 2 week comas?
...um, our Opening Day is also the day of some horse race, which may account for a few dozen of the sold-out rooms. :)

And it's just the *first* ride that will have the official who-bid-the-most lineup.

Thanks, Paula

Well, Even just one trip in the front seat will be worth it. Even if the auction had gone up more money I would have still have been happy to pay for my bid. It is for a great cause and it is a great looking coaster. I am also excited as it will be my first trip to HW. I was able to get a room off the website link. I think it is a courtyard. See you all there. :)
Glad you found a room!

And I think you'll be more than pleased with your ride.

I've only ridden twice, so I can't even talk intelligently about it yet, but sitting near the back is fun, too ... as you get to watch the riders further up duck going into the first head-chopper tunnel (I laughed at them then instinctively did the same thing!). And it's also wild to watch the front of the train go into the 90-degree sections.

Get ready for "Voyage Hair"!

What is that yellow piece on the front of the train? I noticed it in the pic from yesterday's blog. I don't think I've seen that on other woodies.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
