Train colors on Xcel.

I had always thought that Xcel. only had two trains, but in the photo section it looks like there's a red one, a yellow one and a purple one (blue? I'm color blind :P). Anyone know what the deal is?

They had a yellow one and a purple one, but later on they repainted the yellow one to red.

EDIT: Yeah, I got the colors wrong. Sosume.

It used to have a yellow and purple train, but the park decided to change out the yellow train's shells (which you can see from Supreme Scream) and make it a red train. I think this happened during the same rehab where they put the extra supports on the top hat, but I am not sure. I have no idea why they did this, but I am glad they did, because the red train is so much cooler looking than the old yellow one.

From RCDB:

Theme:1950's theme with coral colored track and seafoam green supports. One train is candy-apple red and the second purple. The station is chrome and glass.

Haux has it wrong. The yellow train was transformed into the red one. The purple have always been purple.

Actually, they painted the purple one red and painted the yellow one purple. Personally, I really liked the green and orange trains best. ;)

When the ride was annouced it said the ride will have a candy apple red train and purple train, but then the ride opened with a yellow and purple train. Back in the beginning of 2003 the yellow train went into rehab and came back as the candy apple red it was meant to be.
