Helios: Setpoint debuted a model of their seismic coaster in 2000. There are some pics here: http://club.coasterbuzz.com/features/iaapa2000/gallery/ It's a steel racer that shares a single track.

this type of coaster looks interesting. was thare ever any talk of adding a second row of seats below the first set? this would create the first coaster that i know of with riders stacked over each other. opinions?

I was just thinking the same thing looking at the pics. Why leave all that space below the seats , kinda pointless, if its there ya might as well use that space up and add more seats. Wouldn't it also be kinda dangerous to have the wheels that close to the riders as shown in the 1st pic?
Beeman65, I copied this from Cedar Points web site. Nothing intertwines now, but they are planning for the furure.
Cedar Point is not running out of room for expansion. When we added the tallest roller coaster in the world for the 2000 season, we employed strategies that are allowing us to grow in spite of our limited land area. The Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad track was moved to accommodate Millennium Force, and the Giant Wheel was relocated to a vacant space along the beach. Such creative use and rearrangement of our current and future rides and attractions will allow us to keep growing in the future

i imagine it could be dangerous but more than likely thare would be some kind of safety covering and the riders would also probably be at least an arms length away if there isint something restricting arm/leg movement in that direction.
i took a second look at this prototype and realized that the stress that the wheels would be under would be tremendous. this design idea will probably have to wait for new wheel technolgy.

They have? I don't recall MF and Wicked Twister intertwining with anything..
Iron Dragon and Mantis intertwine ;)

If only I could legally drive from Mich to CP at MF's top speed. I could shave 42 minutes off my drive time.

Jeff said a while, not a year. CP makes anouncements in October. Just six weeks or so and we will know.
Yeah, unless you count Wicked Twister, Lighthouse Point, Millennium Force, Camp Snoopy...

Hey SigmaCP..........who's to say you can't drive 93 on Michigan highway's?
Ever in a hurry to get to Millennium Mania? You can find someone to follow on 275 down by Detroit, trust me. ;)
Heck just today I was driving home from Lansing, after getting out of rush hour, I was doing about 85 and had some moron on my tail the whole way home! I am sick and tired of people who think just because you have a sports car and you are going fast, that they can follow you and not have to worry about getting stopped!
Anyway.......back on topic, if this is going to be such a huge massive ride, won't they need to start construction soon? Which means that not long after they start construction an announcement will need to be made..........wishful thinking.

Welcome back riders, how was your ride...Enjoy your day, here at Cedar Point, America's roller coast.

Call me SpongeBobAlex.
I say the colors have something to do with the other coasters. We will just have to wait for the anouncements.
PlayerPunk... not sure if it meets your definition of intertwining, but the lift hill for Mantis has supports that cross over the first lift for Iron Dragon. You can see it in this picture www.guidetothepoint.com/gallery/cp99mantislooplift.jpg
well... that is the picture but you can only see it by going to guidetothepoint.com/gallery and look at the "loop and lift" picture in the mantis gallery
