Track Records

Should racing/doulbe/dueling coasters count as two coasters in your record?, I think there use to be an old thread, but I could not find it, the same goes for clones?

Twisted Sisters is counted as two, so yeah, why not...

Dueling: Yes
Double/racing: If the park counts it twice. (SFGAm counts Eagle twice, so I do too!)

To each their own. I count duelers twice, and racers once. On some racers (such as PKI's Racer or PKD's Rebel Yell) I keep track of forward and backward laps separately, but count the coaster once for my track record.

to see what I mean. Note that Kennywood's Racer, or Cedar Point's Gemini, are listed once each; Rebel Yell is listed once but as separate LAP counts; and Twisted Sisters is listed twice.

(And yes, I *DO* plan on opening that track record counting page up to the public at some point in the near future. One of the cool features is that each user can choose any of the 3 counting styles listed above on a per-coaster basis :) )

I'm with GregLeg. Check my site below to see my version as well. Unless a racer is completely different on each side, I count it as one.

Everyone has their own theory on this. That being said, here is mine (and it will agree with some above with one addition)...

Dueling: I count twice
Racing: I count once
Dueling/Racing: (like Lightning Racer) Once (the track layouts are so close

Exceptions on a Case by Case basis: Example... while I never rode Rolling Thunder at Great Adventure, if I would, I would count it twice as both tracks are profiled so differently.

I use the strictest method, meaning I count coasters with the same name once each. That includes racers and dueling coasters.
