I was thinkning and i see some of you people who are in your older years have a large track record. I have been scared of roller coasters untill i was 12 years old , Now i am 15 years old only three years later and i have a track record of forty five , but after my annual trip to CP i will head to SFGAd, in jersey, ( that will add 13 if i Choose to ride all of them which i happily will ) then i will head home and go to busch gardens ( which will add 5 , not including scorpion i rode a while back ) so will have a track record of 63 in a month. Anybody else been riding for a short time and have a realatively large track record !?
(just Curious )
p.s. Sorry for the miss spelling , jeff .

I've only been an enthusiast for about 2 years. Before then I had only been to Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Knott's, and, for a reason which is a long story, the Mindbender in the West Edmonton Mall. I now have a track record of 53. After this summer, it could quite possibly (if I get on all proposed coasters) be over 100. This summer's going to rock!

A year ago my track record was 13. A month from now my track record should be close to 160. There's nothing like a new found hobby and expendable income!

i've really only been a true "enthusiast" (going to many parks) but i've always gonw to 3 parks a whole lot (Cp, SFWoA, Florida). Now i'm a full blown enthusiast with 86 rides on my track record, i'm trying to hit 100 this year! I just might, how many coasters does Morey's pier's have?

HurricaneGeauga- Just in case
My 13 year old has 103 in the last 3 years.
I either need to get new parents who enjoy coasters ( lol ) or i can't wait till i get the money and the freedom like you guys do so i can go everywere on my own or with family , Main thing - i need to be older i guess

Callahan, I feel your pain!! I'll finally be heading off to college next year so I should have the opportunity to make a few weekend trips. The only problem is that weekend trips cost money, something college students never seem to have a lot of. Oh well.

Rollocoast has 409. I(including this summer) might get to 40. Pretty good considering last year was the first year I started to like coasters.

Last year was the first year I actually traveled to many parks. At the beginning of the 2000 season I had about a total of 45 coasters on my track record. Now it stands at 180 not too bad of a gain for just one season. This year I want to reach at least my 200th coaster. I don't think I'll have a problem doing that. :)

Hello, My name is Dan and I'm a coasterholic.
I was scared to death of coasters until last year. I wouldn't ride a single one. After the Hulk though(last March), which was actually my first non-home park looper, I was hooked! I went from like 20 coasters(PKI, WDW, IOA) to about 120 by the end of the year. I begged my parents and during the 2000 season I went to like 12 parks for the first time(SFNE, SFGAm, SFKK, SFO, CP(for coasters), DW(for coasters), HW, BGT, DL, KBF, BGW, Dorney,...).
I'm Koaster King, I'm 16, and I'm a raging Coasterholic.

Everything above was my opinion. If you disagree, please respond in an intelligent fashion. But before you post,I warn you that some people say I'm just too smart to understand. Please take that into consideration.

I hear you loud and clear. Last year being my first as a college student, I can tell you that it's hard to go visit a large number of parks, and your cash flow is extremely
limited. I barely had enough dough to scrape up for my SDC and WOF season passes. Add to this that the only feasible day to travel to a distant park is a Saturday (I avoid Saturdays at theme parks like the plague) and that weekends are a good time to catch up in your classes (study?--at college :) ) and it can be pressing to go to new parks. However, I still have plans to try to hit Adventureland this fall, as well as going to Holiday World and SFoT this summer.
BTW, themeparkne, I love the signature. Thank God for designers as creative as Checketts.

According to the "official" count, next year's new coaster lineup will feature 17 Arrow 4-Ds, 21 TA2Ks, 34 B&M floorless's, 17 Intamin Gigas, 12 beemer flyers, and 247 CCIs. And oh yeah, CP will receive one of all of these.
Well, I grew up at Geauga Lake and we only had 3-4 coasters operating at a time. That was essentially my Cedar Point, since my parents didn't have a whole lot of money and it was "too far" for them. (Yeah, an hour)
It wasent until College when I started hitting Cedar and PKI, and getting bigger into coasters now I am up to 141.
1997- I grew out of my coasterphobia. I saw the Discovery Channel specials that Memorial Day weekend, and my interest reached a fever pitch.
I visited like 8 parks that year, riding 41 coasters.
1998- I *really* started riding, and we visited 12 parks to end 1998 with me having ridden almost
80 coasters...
1999- I rode ALOT of new-to-me-coasters, almost doubling my count, ending that year visiting 15 parks and having ridden 141 coasters....
2000- Riding even MORE than the previous year, I closed out 2000 riding 179 coasters at 25 parks...
And now, with Summer 2001 in full swing, I've managed to hit some more new to me coasters
and I'm up to a track record of 204. I'll end the year at 300 or more, if all goes according to plans.
i've been riding for a little less than 2 years, i'm 13. i have 50 coasters in my track record. ANd over the summer i'm going to 5 more amusement parks.

Nitro!!! #1
I have 53 right now I believe, I don't feel like checking my record right now. I don't plan on going to any parks this year I haven't been to before, but I may go to SFGAd and ride BR:TC, Medusa, and Nitro, which weren't there last time I went!
-------------
The Pens will win the Stanley Cup in 2002!
Mine is very limited but,i grew up the child of a single parent so,money was tight.Even when i hit 17 i worked a full time job to help out my mom so,i really didn't have much free time to travel. In the past couple of years i only visited one park outside of NJ (Dorney) so now, since i am done being pregnant and my son is getting a little older,i am making it a point to at the least hit one park outside of NJ each year. This year i am thrilled i will visit three :)

Now, now...no need to get jealous there, Jeremy! ;)
FYI, right out of high school, I don't need to worry about college, as I have a VIP Internship set up with a major park chain.
And I never said *I* pay for my trips, did I? College,
well, when/if that comes along, I'm taken care of there too. :)
