track pieces at SFMW

I was at Marine World yesterday and I saw blue track pieces in the parking lot. It looks to me like a Swatzkopf shuttle looper, and I saw what looked like part of a tower for the weight to fall down in. Is this new or from an old ride?

I belive its from Greased Lightnin' at PGA. According to rcdb, the pieces appeared in the parking lot and disappeard so how did you see it? (unless some of it is still there.)

Here are the specs and pics: http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail2379.htm

I have yet to see a sig. that actually follows the rule: tell something about yourself. In fact, this one doesn't even do that.

That was once called Tidal Wave, right? All I know is that it was there and I saw it (sorry, no pictures).

Actually, SFMW is my home park. Yes those are the pieces from PGA's Tidal Wave/Greased Lightening. And they haven't left yet. Who knows what's going to be done with it. My last trip to the park was July 26 and it was still there; the whole thing practically. Wish I took some snapshots of it now that I think about it.

No its still there....The whole thing is still there. No one really knows why it is too. But the whole ride is still there.

It is going to stay there until it is moved and installed.

I was told by someone who works in the amusement industry (for Zamperla) and is almost always right that the ride is going north about 800 miles for next summer. He could be wrong, but I hope not.

Wild Waves Enchanted Village! Who didn't see that coming truthfully? It seems like a perfect place for it. The question I have is, it was a horrible money eater at PGA, how does Six Flags justify the price to just keep it running?

BTW, There are a few pictures of Greased Lightnin' in the latest update on my site for those who care.

Looks like it could use a little paint.

If it's not going to Enchanted Village expect it to be Canabalized for Kentucky Kingdom's Greezed Viper Wave.
