Track Bends in Station?

All,

In responding to another post, I was thinking about Ninja @ SFMM. I remembered thinking that the station seemed odd until I realized that there is a slight bend (10-15 degrees?) in the track in the middle of the loading platform.

Does anyone know of any other coasters out there with this feature??

Thanks,
EV

Knoebels Twister has a curved station.  Chaos at Opryland had 40 cars and made a "U" in the station!

Didn't Blue Streak used to curve in the station?

Father Lucifer, you never looked so sane. You did always did prefer the drizzle to the rain
Runaway Mountain at SFOT has a curved loading and unloading station.
I believe Mayan Mindbender at SFAW had a station that had a gentle bend in it. I could be wrong though, since I was there almost two years ago. Scary thing is, I was thinking about asking this same question.
Ravenguy98, I'm not sure about Blue....

Back when she had the hand brakes, it either curved just before unload, or in-between unload and load.

The part about Ninja that surprised me was that the bend was in the middle of the loading gates!

Mayan Mindbender, or whatever it is called at SF Astroworld has a curved station/load/unload area.

The Comet at Hershey had one for years until the re-did the station.

Giant Dipper at SCBB has a curved station.
CP's Blue Streak had a bend just downtrack of the loading area, but from the back of Car #1 it is and has always been straight all the way to the back of unload, then there is a curve between unload and the holding brake. Luckily it wasn't any more than that 'cause if it had been, they would have had to hack it up more than they did to convert to fin brakes.

See, wherever you have fin brakes there has to be straight track. You can put a bend in the middle of the station, but the bend has to be between brake calipers. Knoebel's Whirlwind has that, if I remember correctly. Graceful curving stations as seen on the Sea Dragon at Wyandot Lake or the Comet at Waldameer or the Little Dippers up in Chicago, or on the Knoebel's Twister require the use of skid brakes.

Anybody know where i can find pics of Blue Streak before all of the modifications?
The Comet at Waldamere has a curved station. Leap the Dips at Lakemont also has a curved station. I also think The Sea Dragon at Wyandot has a curved station.

The Dragon at Playland in Rye, NY has one

The Little Dipper at Kiddieland also does

Santa Cruz's Giant Dipper has a curved station.

The Comet at HersheyPark I believe has a curved station.  The chain lift is also curved, sort of.  Around half way up the lift hill, the track shifts to one of the sides a little bit but it doesn't effect the ride at all.

There is no curve between the unload and load.  The transfer track is there.  The curve starts where the first car used to be loaded, at the front of the station.  They really ruined that ride!
OOps!  My fault, wasn't reading your post clearly, Dave.  Yeah, I guess since there is now a "holding brake," there is a curve between that and unload/load.  They still totally ruined the ride :(

I read your post 6 times and I still don't get it.  Maybe I'm slow...

Geez Rideman another great answer.... I must say you're no slouch, and indeed know your stuff! :)

How about slightly curved, heavily banked station track? The Bullet at Flamingo Land UK features this. It is one wicked looking Shuttlelooper.
