TR: SFWOA 6/26-27 Final leg of the trip. (long)

Associated parks:
None

After the wonderful night at CP my newly-engaged girlfriend and I went on over to SFWOA. I've never been to this park and getting there was going to be a real trick. I can read and comprehend road signs like a pro but when it came to getting to SFWOA, I couldn't find the park for a long time. After finally finding it and paying the 8 bux to park on the Wildlife side, we headed on in. Our season passes to SFKK flashes and we entered the gates immediately. Nobody handed us a park map so we were under the impression maybe they were out or something so we figured we'd might as well head on out to do some exploring. After about 20 minutes of wrong trail turns, we finally encountered a coaster. RWB is quite a shocker. I know why they call it BOBs now..it bobs your "stuff" up and down the entire ride. A bit rough for my taste but oh well. We proceeded forward and all the way to X-Flight. The employee at the end of the line told us it would be about 1.5 hour wait. No problem we thing. WRONG..we got behind 5 of the biggest idiots ever created. I never heard such STUPID talk in all my life. It turned out that the 1.5 hour wait was really 2.5 and with the goobers in front of us it felt like 5.5! We finally got on the coaster and I was really impressed. I LOVE the g's it puts on your body when you go through the loop and the final helix. They made me take off my glasses and being blind as it is, I couldn't really see anything that we were doing. That made my sense of feeling more aware so I'm kind of grateful for that in a way. After XF, we headed on over to SUE. I've been worried about not fitting into SUE for some time now even to the point of dieting and cutting off all sugary items.(i.e soda, snacks, all the good stuff) I got into the seat and much to my surprise, I fit with a LOT of room to spare. I was worried for nothing really. It was a walk-on for SUE and I had been predicting that it would be the surprise coaster of our vacation. I WAS RIGHT! I LOVE S:UE, enough said. I think it would be great if more parks got a clone of it..HINT HINT SFKK. We re-rode S:UE and then went on over to Mind Eraser. My first time on a sit-down boomerang. I was actually kind of impressed. A bit rough but still pretty fun. After ME, we went on over to BKF. First time on a floorless and I loved it. I must comment on the smoothness of this coaster. I was REALLY impressed with it. After BKF, we had just about had enough for the day, what with the hooligans and all so we went about exiting and came along the Bat Ray exhibit. I have never been much for anything like this but I was so impressed with it, we stayed there for at least an hour with our hands in the water petting the rays. BTW...it's a great way to cool off too! (not that you can go swimming or anything but oh well) We left to return the next day to finish off the rest of the park. We found the park maps on the way out on some kind of cart.
6/27: RRE was first up on the list for us in the quest for numbers in the track record. Fun kiddie coaster I must say. On to Double Loop;not too bad just too short. After DL, it was Villain. I was really impressed with some of the airtime in this ride. It only hurt me one time with an unexpected turn to the left but other than that I give it a pretty high rating. Next up on the quest was Serial Thriller. The only really good thing I can say about this coaster is that it was build partially on the water and that's it. I just got really beat up on it and that's all I have to say about it. Nice paint scheme I thought, although it really didn't make sense in the "Western" theme. Onwards and upwards we went to The Big Dipper. Not a bad little ride. Only one train running. (don't see how they could've ran a second one) Next up was S:UE for 2 laps both of which were walk-ons. I found out the neatest thrill about that ride is to make your body go limp while riding it. It intensifies the ride VERY much so. After S:UE, we hit X-Flight again. One hour wait and it was worth it I think. I'm wondering to myself if it isn't a little rough in spots. Kind of jerky, I dunno. Very intense in that loop and helix though. We headed over to catch a Looney Tunes show and then did BKF one last time before leaving. I am very impressed with SFWOA. I do think they need to work a little bit on the way they aren't very outgoing to the GP. Talking to a crowd that's waiting for a long line helps ease tension that builds up in people. The parks midways were VERY clean and neat. A small bit of litter under the rides (especially on X flight) I loved walking over the boardwalk to the Wild Rides side and looking at the fish and ducks. BTW, what kind of fish are those? The Bat Rays were quite the highlight of our trip. The second day at the park, we actually got to feed them some squid. VERY neat. I totally recommend this park to anyone looking for a major number of coasters and those looking to experience a rare chance to get in touch with wildlife.

God please let SFKK get something this year. ANYTHING!!
Those would be carp. Very large carp at that. Next time I go to SFGL I am thinking about sneaking in a rod and sitting on one of the benches and fish. They may get mad so I don't think I will do it.

That's what I thought they were. I know that carp and goldfish are VERY closely related if not in the same family and just by looking at them I guessed they looked a great deal like a goldfish or carp. Thanks for the info!

The Pens will win the Stanley Cup in 2002!
ChristopherPeeper: You dont have to sneak in a rod. That little area the SF doesnt own can be used w/ no problem. Theres always people there fishing.

Im glad you had such a good time. Just dont listen to a the negitivity here and go and find out yourself how the park is. It might be a bad day for one but a great day for thousands of others.
