TR part 2 PKI 8/13-14
Well, if you have never read one of my TR’s before here is some info. I am an Acer’s but I am not one of those people who obsess over coasters. Yes, I have spent many hours huddled in front of my computer playing RTC and checking out coasters sites. However, I ride coasters for the fun of it. The same reason I am writing this TR. In my TR’s you will get my feelings and observations about the parks and rides I visit. I will throw in a little humor on the way and if I poke fun at some of my fellow coaster fanatics well get over it. Some people take this stuff way to seriously. In my reports I will not rank the rides or unfairly compare rides or parks to one another. Well on with the report.
It is a beautiful Sunday morning and I arrive early for my first ever ACE walk back. I think all parks should do this for us Acer’s. We walk back behind the scenes or backstage for you Disney-philes, so the GP’s can’t see us, to SOB. We walk through the ACE gate to wait for the ride to be ready. Yes, ACE has it’s own gate on SOB. I think every park should have an ACE gate. While waiting in line I meet Sean, Chris and a couple whose name I end up forgetting. I will end up hanging out with them until the afternoon. So SOB, what can I say, I rode in a middle seat the first time, and it was intense. The loop is simply the most amazing loop I have ever experienced. When you come out of the mid course brakes around the corner and see that loop for the first time it is mind blowing. Because you realize that you are bought to go through a loop on a wooden coaster. The first drop is amazing, the helix is cool, however the trains suck. I can only hope they can do something in the off season about them.
We next rode Face-Off. This is my first Invertigo. The cool thing about this ride was that I grayed out during the cobra roll. O other than that I couldn’t imagine waiting in a long line to ride it.

She also had an eerie resemblance to my ex-girlfriend. This would become a common thing throughout my trip as I saw the twin of various people I know.
My final things to say about SOB is do not sit over a wheel seat. I did it just to see how bad it was. It was the roughest ride of my life I have never held on the way I did for that ride. But the loop was smooth as glass. Go figure.
Rode OL:FOF, was not to bad actually felt a little bit better that PKD’s. The launch is still the best part of the ride.
Rode Vortex, this is the best Arrow looper. However after riding so many B&M coasters riding any steel coaster that shakes you a little just seems to make them hard to appreciate.
Rode Drop Tower, what a rush this ride is but it is not worth a long wait for a 30 second ride.
Did not get to ride the Ghoster Coaster. The shortest I ever saw the line was a 30 minute wait.
Well, I left PKI behind to head for CP. I do not understand why so many people rip this park. It is better than 95% of the SF parks. I would take PKI over my home park PKD any day of the week. Those of you in Ohio should be glad you have both CP and PKI in the same state. It is unfair to compare them to each other because they are 2 totally different parks. If you are going to compare it to another park compare it to PKD.
