TR part 1-PKI 8/12
Well this is my first TR ever. I am an Acer’s but I am not one of those people who obsess over coasters. Yes, I have spent many hours huddled in front of my computer playing RTC and checking out coasters sites. However, I ride coasters for the fun of it. The same reason I am writing this TR. In my TR’s you will get my feelings and observations about the parks and rides I visit. I will throw in a little humor on the way and if I poke fun at some of my fellow coaster fanatics well get over it. Some people take this stuff way to seriously. In my reports I will not rank the rides or unfairly compare rides or parks to one another. Well on with the report.
Well, after a 9-½ hour drive from Richmond, VA and checking into my hotel I arrived at PKI at 5 p.m. on Sat. This is the first time I have been in a park on a Sat. since I last worked at PKD in 93. This is also the first time I have been to PKI in ten years. A lot has changed. My jaw drops as I get near the park and there is SOB standing tall. It is so cool to see that wooden structure that reaches to about the halfway point on the Eiffel Tower. So of course I went straight for WATER WORKS. Yes the coaster fanatic went to the water park first. Why? Well first off something that will come up a lot is the fact that I hate waiting in line. Do to my work I could only get off Sat.-Fri. so I had no choice. The second thing was that I was tired and just wanted to float around the lazy river for about 2 hrs. So I did just that. I do hate how they make you get out and get back in at some parks like this one. Hell, I was so relaxed the last few times I fell asleep on my round trip. One thing I thought the charge for the lockers was a little bit steep esp. if you want to go to the water park for a few hours. Well after that I walked around to see the park. I was hungry so I went to the Festhaus and had some pizza, fries and a drink all for 6 bucks. When I was there I liked the beast better then SOB. I like the layout the intensity, how overall smooth it is. It is right under a CCI in my book. I would say my third favorite woodie, after villain and ST. So what is the overall census on SOB. To me it was not rough, how was it for you??

Whose Line is it Anyway?
I agree, the Beast is still a marval. I like to stand by the queue and watch people as they come off, especially first time riders from all over the country. The looks on their faces are priceless.
